Even when the coffee is not very finely ground, the Perfect Cream Filter will help produce a foamy "crema" typical of fine espresso.
You can use the Perfect Cream Filter with a single or double dose of ground coffee by using the special measuring scoop.
To ensure perfect performance, clean your Perfect Cream filter every day prior to use.
For use with the following model Gaggia coffee machines.
Gaggia Baby coffee machines, Gaggia Baby Class coffee sachines, Gaggia Baby Twin coffee machines, Gaggia Classic coffee machines, Gaggia Cubika coffee machines, Gaggia Espresso Pure coffee machines, Gaggia Colour & Dose coffee machines, Gaggia New Baby 06

Better than a standard basket with a super fine grind. You should use a less powdered grind. Much better crema and taste. If it clogs try a less fine grind.

Does the job when I'm using pre ground but this basket seems a tad smaller than my other ones. When I go to knock out the grounds the basket will fall out along with the little black valve.

I had some coffee that didn’t get ground as fine as i needed for my normal basket, but this pressurized basket works great for it.

For MONTHS, I was plagued by limited flow from my Gaggia Classic Pro. I did everything I could find online. Descale. Descale again. Descale the solenoid valve. Replace the solenoid valve. Nothing worked. Then I saw a video that recommended replacing the pressure basket (the one you use if you don't freshly grind your beans). Found this one online and PRESTO! Works like a charm. For an admitted caffeine addict, this was a life saver. The basket comes with a new pressure plug thing too. Do yourself a favor and buy one. Hell, buy two. They are inexpensive enough.

From the picture this looks like a single shot pressurized basket. This is not that. In fact it is just the double shot pressurized basket which is delivered with the stock Gaggia EVO in the US.

I'm giving this pressurized basket 5 stars because it does the job it is intended to do - it fits into a 58mm portafilter (originally that of a Gaggia Classic but I'm using a Rancilio Silvia) and lets you brew some semblance of espresso using preground coffee. I am NOT giving it 5 stars because that means the coffee is excellent - it is not. It is nowhere near proper espresso. However it does everything you'd expect- fits into the machine- the "espresso" has a good layer of crema- the little pin fits into the hole at the bottom of the portafilter (which I wasn't sure it would since I'm not using the original machine it was intended for)- making Café La Llave with it brought me right back to when I first got my first espresso machine and pulled like 6 shots of the stuff and then realized, oh, I just drank 6 cups of coffee, oops.So if you for some reason want to turn your espresso machine into the equivalent of a cheap DeLonghi, maybe so your in laws can make espresso without having to faff about with your grinder and probably mess something up, this will work.

My husband bought me a Gaggia espresso machine for the motorhome and I found out about this pressurized filter basket. I loved it in the Gaggia machine so I tried it in my Expobar espresso machine and it works. I don’t have to press the grounds to a certain pressure anymore and the espresso comes out perfect every time. The only thing is that doesn’t wash easily so I use hot water with the espresso machine cleaning powder and let it set for 15 minutes before rinsing very well . Also it’s very important not to loose the little black part, it’s not sold separate

Coffee snobs tend to distain pressurized portafilters because generally, in the past, they produced mediocre, over-extracted espresso. We got this portafilter bundled with a Gaggia Classic so I decided to try it, and I have to admit, this produces coffee that is close to the best I can make with very precise grinding and tamping -- and the results are more consistent than doing everything manually.Basically grind as you would for a conventional portafilter. I get better results skipping the tamp, just scoop and leave the coffee loose. The crema, assuming you've got good beans, will be explosive and the flavor is sweet and intense.I leave the tamper in a drawer now. And maybe the best thing is I don't waste any beans because pressurization gives you a good margin of error. There's need to "dial in" every batch of beans with grinding, testing shots and throwing coffee away. This will fit in any standard portafilters so I'd encourage people to try it.
