These are a nice set of plant protectors. They're a reasonable weight plastic and conveniently fold into themselves for storage. The set comes with 2 stakes for each cloche, presumably to keep them from blowing away, as well as a little plastic thing, I guess to hold the top open. They might also act as a sort of tiny greenhouse, keeping warmth & moisture inside to nourish the new growth.I think they'll be really good for protecting the baby plants when they're just too tempting for the critters. Depending on wear, they may even be reusable, I'll be interested to see once we get things planted & moving along. For the advertised price, these are a good deal if they protect things as well as advertised.

They seemed a little flimsy right out of the package, but I assembled two and (as with many things from Amazon) they seemed to get a lot sturdier. The little plastic 4-ways stuck a lot better than I had expected, and the metal stakes drove in pretty well--though I expect they'll hold a lot better in the clay garden than in the loose soil of the cold frame, where four are currently stationed.I don't think the wind is going to blow these away, and so far, it looks like they'll work pretty well. Better than trying to weigh down half-soda bottles with rocks, anyway, and these're almost as large. I think they're a better size for peppers than tomatoes.I do wish the pieces came attached to each other. I'm not great at picking up after myself, and I wonder how many small plastic pieces and metal stakes will be littered throughout the garden after two years. Maybe if I paint the little plastic 4-ways? Bright yellow? But that's on me, not the product.

Every spring, the blasted rabbits have their way with my garden before it even gets a fighting chance. They take me off guard each year because I rarely see them in the neighborhood. Yet they seem to come out of the woodwork as soon as they see some succulent leaves to eat. This year, I'm thinking ahead and taking care of the problem before it becomes one. These seem to be a good quality and they will be the eperfect, protective tents to keep my baby plants safe and secure from the mouths of ALL neighborhood muchers – rabbits and anything else that might be bold enough.

Cloches are little hats made of plastic designed to protect your seedlings from the ravages of cat and dog digging. I am having a hard time keeping anything in the ground due to a pack of feral cats roaming the neighborhood digging and pooping everywhere. These will help protect against those evil creatures, and more. Useful if your area has early morning frost, as these trap ground heat and create tiny greenhouses for the plants. Easy to use, just follow directions for optimal effect. PS: I found that spreading some cayenne pepper on the ground can also discourage cats and dogs from digging.

This is a great little product for protecting new plants. It's kind of like a min-cloche that keeps snails away as well as protecting it from freezing or too cold weather in the spring. They provide stake rods to keep it in place. The top has a vent so it doesn't overheat. They provide a small "cross brace" to keep the opening open, but it's pretty fussy to install it. Not a big deal for a few plants, but time consuming if you're installing several of them at one time. Fortunately, the opening stays all or partially open without them, so I just left them off.I would like them better if they weren't so small, since that would allow me to use them longer as the plant grows. That's due to the design being a pyramid shape that becomes smaller as it goes up. However, overall, these are really useful even with those limitations. And, of course, being plastic, it is clear that I can reuse them many times as I move them to newer small starts; and probably next year as well.

They had me at the rabbit. This is a smart product - a pyramid-shaped miniature greenhouse that is strong enough to stand up to winds (we had sustained 20 mph winds the day after I set these up, and they held up) and tall enough to get plants past the baby stage. These are definitely going to keep the rabbits out and should keep slugs and at least some insects away. Best of all, these fold away for easy storage, and they're well-priced. I have some baby lettuce planted in these now, and so far so good. I did swap out the metal anchors with some longer, U-shaped garden staples, because I live on a ridge and we get some fierce gusts. What to plant in here? These would make good mini greenhouses for early-season lettuces, bok choy and Swiss chard, and later in the season for peppers, okra and perhaps even baby tomatoes. I wish they were offered in one-foot-square sizes, which would be ideal for square foot gardening, although I can certainly work with this dimension (roughly 8" x 8" square). Although they're not bugproof because of the opening in the top, you could clip a small square of insect netting at the opening to keep pests like leaf miners away. I look forward to using them over the season.

These are perfect to use in my gardens and pots. They are an ok quality plastic. Great for early spring planting to keep the frost at bay on the surrogate cooler nights. They are very compact and don't take a lot of room when stored. They are easy to set up and put into place over your freshly planted seeds or plants! They hold in heat and moister and really give those new plants a good headstart.

What I like most about these cloches is they fold up and take up very little space when you arent using them. They work like any other cloche. The side flaps are a little bigger than most other cloches, giving me extra room to pile dirt onto, instead of using the stake.Would recommend to any gardener
