Great for work in the garden or taking photos of flowers and insects. Its just the right height to sit and prune small plants or use to steady yourself taking photos instead of crouching. The pockets help keep tools together even if you are not sitting or kneeling on it. The cushion is much thicker than on my previous item like this and it is light enough to move around easily. Its more expensive than just using a foam rubber pad, but much more handy and comfortable. Its a good value for the price.

This is a handy stool even when not being used in the backyard. It's sturdy, holds lots of weight in both positions and is fairly comfortable. The metal frame seems well built and I think it will stand up to a lot of punishment. The plastic corners may be a weak point, but there is no plastic in the pivot points or any major mechanical point. The plastic is what makes contact with the ground and gives the stool proper "corners" as the frame is rounded, it keeps the metal from being directly exposed to moisture while in use, but I would not leave this outside in the weather. I suspect it will be prone to rusting. It is painted, but anything being used in the garden gets beat up and scratched and eventually metal will be exposed. I'd also be careful not to get dirt in the springs. That being said, there's enough clearance in the mechanisms that it will probably work rusty, it will just get harder to actuate. The pad just has four round magnets sewed in under the fabric. It does a pretty good job of holding the pad in place and is easy to remove when flipping it over to switch between sitting and kneeling. Similarly, the pockets on the side just slip on, so they come off easily when flipping. If you're using it for either kneeling or sitting primarily, this is perfect, but I will probably get annoyed changing 3 pieces (the seat and 2 sides) if I'm going back and forth frequently. I'll probably end up leaving the sides off or only using one if I need a pocket. The price is a little high for a garden stool, but it does hold a lot of weight and it seems like it might be well built enough to last a while. If it does last it's worth it. Rusting is the main concern, especially with the exposed spring. The one thing that I don't like is that the locking mechanism uses pins that go through the frame to hold it in place right where it's most natural to put your hand to release it. It's possible to grab it from the other direction and avoid putting your fingers over the pins, but it's more awkward reaching it from the inside and for the price I would have expected a plastic guard or to have spaced them wide enough fit your hand in-between.I am happy with the stool, but use caution when working the latch to fold the legs down and keep it dry.

great assist in getting up and down.I use it as an indoor and outdoor footstool. It's a seat for gardening, and it's great to do gardening on your lap! It's well constructed and attractive. The cushions are also large and comfortable, affordable, and fully functional. It's easy to put together.

This is so good that I think everyone should have one. Not only is it great for gardening, it’s also great for camping (building/tending fire, setting up the inside of a short tent, using it as a chair, etc.) and outside project work. It’s built solidly, folds almost flat for easy storage, and is so dang versatile.Highly recommended.SPECIAL NOTE: As an approved Amazon Vine member with Gold status, I am trusted to select items for review (sometimes from a list of almost 130,000 options). I am so happy I decided to give this a try! Kneeling and sitting on the ground is beginning to get a lot more painful for me, so after this past season, I knew I needed to find something to make gardening more comfortable. I think I found it!This foldable garden kneeler and seat is perfect for sitting, kneeling, and getting up and down while working outdoors. The metal frame seems to be well-constructed, feels sturdy, and holds weight well. The soft, thick cushion provides the perfect amount of padding, ensuring my knees and back stay comfortable, whether I'm planting or weeding.I especially like the magnetic feature in the pad that makes flipping between sitting and kneeling quick and easy. I also like that it comes with pockets to hold gardening tools, and these also slide off and on for easy switching. The ability to fold and unfold this bench for storage is a big plus, saving space and making it easy to move around. As others have said, keeping it out of the elements will likely extend its life, so I plan to store it under a covered porch when not in use. I can see how this will make gardening a lot easier and less painful, and I’m looking forward to using it this spring. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an ergonomic, multi-purpose gardening accessory!
