I previously had one from a popular home party company that sells kitchen items. I had it for decades, but it started to peel and the metal under the outside "silver" were black and would get all over my hands. So, I went looking for one that was similar.This garlic press is adequate, heavy, easy to clean, and seems well made and does allow me to put the unpeeled garlic into the press and not have to peel each piece.It isn't as nice as the one I had, but it seems to be well made and it doesn't seem as though the surface will peel off.

I tend to squeeze pretty hard on my presses to get all of the garlic out and this can take it! It gets most of the garlic out, which is better than any other press I've used over the years. It cleans out as well as any other press.The only thing I will mention is that it doesn't crush the garlic finely. They are more like tiny dices (but much finer than if I diced with a knife). Also, if you use large cloves like I do, it will take more strength to press.

Because of the design of the handle it is easy to use. It does a good job of crushing the garlic and is to clean.
