Temperature Error The error between the remote control and the room temperature is usually 1-2°F, and the remote control detects the room temperature at 3-minute intervals. The farther away from the flame, the greater the temperature error, when the battery power is too low will cause the error to increase.

Appliance Does Not Come On 2.Causes:DIP (Privacy) switch setting on transmitter does not match receiver Action:Make sure the transmitter and receiver have the same DIP switch settings.
Appliance Does Not Come On 3.Causes:Transmitter measures temperature exceeding 99 degrees and shows “HI” on LCD disply. Action:Move transmitter to a cooler place and wait until temperature drops below 99 degree.
Appliance Does Not Come On 4.Causes:Distance between the transmitter and receiver is more than 20 feet. Action:Make sure the operating distance is less than 20 feet

Not a whole lot to say, this controller was a simple 2 wire installation, it was easy to install, and easy to operate and function. I know only a few weeks left to try this out, but gotta give the 5 stars for ease of installation, fast shipping, and compatibility.

We had a Skytech remote, and the batteries had leaked and damaged the unit. This new remote worked just fine and actually was an upgrade to the simpler one that we had. Easy to install with just two wires to connect and we are very happy with the unit.

Spent hours and hours troubleshooting this but I could never get the remote, and the module in the fire place (properly connected, this was an “uograde”) to talk to each other.I have over eight direct vent, direct vent, NG fireplace places a found the item materials to be excellent…however, that would require it work. So I’d say save the money or value for something that has more proven success.The functionality claimed would be awesome but I was unable to review that component as I never got it to work. As with others I’ve received , loved/reviewed, they do require a large amount of batteries to work fro the get go, which aren’t included. That kind of “include it all touch is what distinguishes, for me, the ordinary and extraordinary.”Over all given a non paired/non-functioning item, it gets one stars unless I can (get) it sorted out. For now that’s my rating having installed several of these type of units. And I’ll be sure to update if I find a resolution or fix.
