I didn't like the weight, to heavy. It was very difficult to start. After the initial start it for about 30 seconds then could not start it again definitely not worth even a 1/4 the price and if you want to return for a refund forget it even if it doesn't work like mine. The company will not stand behind the product. Absolutely do not buy this saw !

We had a very heavy snow/wind storm this "spring" which broke or partially broke lots and lots of branches in our 5-acre yard. Most of those branches were out of reach with my 16" chainsaw, so I needed something long. I decided to take a chance on this one, even though some of the reviews were negative. I am glad I did. The extended reach is amazing, but it is awkward having a heavy motor on one end and a saw on the other end of a long pole. I wish I had the strength I had when I was 25.I have not had any trouble assembling/disassembling the extensions - mine all slide in and out smoothly. The motor starts easily (If I remember to turn on the switch) and runs smoothly. I also like the adjustable angle - makes it easier to notch a branch from the bottom and cut through the top so the branch drops straight down rather than swinging down onto me.I have had one issue. After quite a bit of use, the chain stopped. I thought it had been thrown off the drive gear, but it turned out the gear wasn't turning. I contacted customer service and after sending Allison a picture and describing the issue, she sent me a new saw head - Fed Ex 2-day. Amazing! As others have said, the customer service is top-notch. Allison communicated within hours - even on weekends. She followed up with a tracking number and asked for confirmation that the replacement part was received. I am impressed.

I bought the Maxtra pole saw several months back and it worked well. I had a Honda brush cutter (HHT 35s) that I was using for brush cutting, but the gear assembly broke when I accidentally hit a rock. I ordered the replacement part but it was unavailable. After a month of waiting, I started looking for a replacement brush cutter. I saw that Maxtra was now selling a brush and weed cutting multi-head with the pole saw I had bought several months before. At the time of my purchase, this was not an option. I already had everything except the multi-head, shield, 3T and 40T cutting blades. I called the company, left a message and they called back a few hours later. Allison, in perfect English, said they’d love to sell me multi-head and blades. She sent me a link with instructions. After they verified that my pole saw was compatible (which I appreciated…who wants to be sold something that isn’t?), she sent me a diagram with labeled parts and asked what I wanted. It was easy. I just emailed back with the part numbers and they sent me price. It was a third less than the Honda replacement part, but included not only the multi-head and gear box (the equivalent of what I was trying to get from Honda) but also the string trimmer, the 3T and 40T blades. They sent them FedEx and I had them two days later. I hooked it all up and all parts and blades worked as advertised. Strangely, the kits did not come with the two bolts (1/4 inch x 3/4 inch machine screws) required to mount the shield to the shaft. I mentioned this to Allison in a later email and she said that this was not a mistake, they just are not included. Anyway, it all works great. The motor was built to run a ten inch chainsaw, so it makes for a quite powerful trimmer/brush cutter. I only need half throttle for most tasks. I have 70 acres, including a 3 acre lake (which needs cutting around the steep edges) that I care for with a tractor, a zero turn mower and my brush cutter. I put them all to rigorous use. It is unfortunate that this company decided not to include attachment bolts. Still, I believe this is a solid product worth my money; I have received no gifts, discounts or any other renumeration for this review.

I needed a pole saw with a very long reach. This one appealed to me because of the price. When I received the unit it was missing a bolt that locks the head in position. I reached out to the company and they replied in 24 hours. I sent them a picture and they sent the part right out. They also followed up with a tracking number. So I was very impressed with their customer service. The saw was easy to put together. I only use very high quality 2 stroke motor oil (Royal Purple or Castor927). Yes they are expensive but you don't need much. (2.1 oz. Per gallon). The engine on this saw ran really good. I was impressed with the power it has. I trimmed a couple of maple trees and some of the limbs were over 4in in diameter. It cut right through them with no problem. I found the poles a little hard to get apart so I used a screw driver to push down on the release button and that works great. I took the blade and bar off too inspect how the bar oiling system was working. The inside of the bar and the bottom of the blade were covered in oil all around so it has a good functioning oiler. As someone who owns Husqvarna, Stihl, and echo chainsaws I did not expect the quality and operation of this pole saw to be in that league of saws. It's not. A comparable saw with the reach of this one will cost you close to five times as much! The bottom line is I just trimmed two maples and a Bradford pear tree. I had no problems. The more I used it the more I liked it. If I would have paid someone to trim the trees I would have paid more than what I paid for the saw! So now it's basically a free saw.
