I admit I was already to be negative, but the simple truth is you get what you pay for, and in this case, a bit more. Very fast shipping, well- packaged and a very good value for the price. I am not a professional, and I don't need to pay high prices for something I'll only use twice a year. Well designed. Evwen came with tools, gloves and safety glasses! Thank you.

Due to being less than 0*F outside I have not cut any wood with this yet, but upon close inspection (even taking it apart) it is of surprising quality for the price. The size is perfect for keeping in the jeep in case of fallen trees in the way, just able to cut larger logs from two sides. It is indeed brushless, and it has a very high quality and smooth gearbox. Some of these I've had are loud as hell before even putting any load on them due to the cheap gears. This one sounds smooth and nice. For a chain saw that is, it's of course still loud.It comes with an extra chain which is awesome, and the hard case holds everything perfectly at the ready. Great for throwing in your vehicle.I will update this review shortly as it's almost spring and we have a large wooded property here to put this through its paces.I am assuming that these will not stay under $20 like I got it for, since that's rather nuts. However, I could be wrong too. Maybe they just want to sell millions of them to make a profit. At this price, they might.

I have a cordless pole saw from another popular yellow and black manufacturer. It is one of my favorite go-to yard tools, however, it doesn’t come off the pole so it is very hard to use up close. I picked this guy up for $30 at the time of this review, and it is worth it. The kit was surprisingly inclusive, it has an extra chain, a chain tool/screwdriver, a round file, a plastic guard, and an oil bottle. The battery has a button to display the battery level and the charger is easy to use once you find the charging hole (hint, it’s on the top of the battery). Everything fits nicely into the custom carrying case.Does it cut? YES! I was surprised for a small tool from china. The battery life is really good and this makes quick work of annoying branches that fall in our yard (2” or so in diameter). You won’t be dropping trees with this thing, but it is perfect for the average yard after a wind storm.Things I’m not crazy about are that the chain isn’t self oiling, you need to carry your little squeeze bottle around and lubricate it from time to time. I kept misplacing the bottle when I was working with it, not wanting to put something oily and leaky in my pocket. The latches on the carry case are flimsy and I’m pretty sure after a couple more openings one of them is going to be broken. The battery charger is only indicated on the charging brick itself, red for charging and green for done. The biggest issue though is the safety switch. It is not easy to press in the safety switch that you need to hold in to squeeze the trigger. I do like that it is ambidextrous, the safety goes either way, but it is still very hard to use for a long time. My hand cramped up trying to keep it pressed in and also squeeze the trigger as needed. For the price point, you get a lot here. If you just need to cut up some brush or limbs after a storm, this is a great value option. However if you need something bigger than 6 inches, this might not be the chainsaw for your home. But, it was $30 at the time of this review and well worth the money. I’ve used it a bunch when I didn’t want to drag out the Husqvarna.
