It takes some doing to install but it worked perfectly. Pay close attention to the part numbers and specifications of the valve you have and need. There are several similar ones in this product range and it needs to be the right one. If you are unsure at all, hire a professional to do the job. Saving $100 but blowing up your house isn’t worth it.

This valve is an updated version of the twenty year old valve I replaced. Installed very easily and recommend changing pilot assembly if you haven’t already.

Turns out this is the exact same replacement part for my Lennox fireplace (I even found that the original even had the Robert Shaw sticker on it). This is a 100% identical OEM replacement.Works flawlessly.I will say that it's a horribly engineered design; it's absolutely the biggest pain in the neck to connect the thermocouple lead on this thing. But if you're shopping for this part you're not looking for the world's best gas control valve design, you're looking for a 1:1 replacement for an existing part so I'm not removing any stars.
