I really like this torch. I use it for a lot of things. from lighting our fire pit to the grill to deicing the front door. this torch has been very handy around the house and the camp site. I recommend it

This is a good old-fashioned blowtorch! Works wonders searing sous vide foods like steak, chicken, turkey, etc. Buy one, you won’t be disappointed.

I got this for starting the coals in my charcoal grill. It has worked pretty good. Doesn’t always light on the first attempt, but has not failed to work for me yet. Would also work great for starting fires in a wood fireplace or Chimenea.

The GasOne 1lb Propane Torch – Auto Ignition Handheld Torch – Adjustable Flame Control Food Torch with Ergonomic handle is a total quality product. It accepts 1 lb propane bottles without a problem and couples with them for a solid no-leak seal. It's light weight and extremely easy to use. It ignites with just a single push of the button consistently. It adjusts for the flame you need with a simple turn of the dial. I can find no issues with this little torch; it operates flawlessly. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the GasOne 1 lb Propane Torch and consider it an outstanding value!

On the bench today, I’ve got a GasOne 1lb Propane Torch – Auto Ignition Handheld Torch – Adjustable Flame Control Food Torch with Ergonomic Grip Handle – Safe and User Friendly Culinary Torch.This is the kind of torch I’ve been wanting for searing after sous vide. Up until now, I’ve just been using a TS8000 when I didn’t want to pull out the big weed torch and 20lb bottle.I’ve tried multiple others that went onto the 1lb bottles that were all disappointing and weak. This one has the same jet engine sound and much of the power of the full size weed torches so it will definitely do some good searing. Tho it does put out far more flame than the smaller torches so it will definitely require a healthy amount more caution depending on searing location.The plastic seems to be of decent quality. The piezo igniter provides a strong spark and has no problem lighting the torch. The gas valve adjusts well. The paint used on the nozzle seems to pretty heat resistant. I still expect it to burn off of the inside fairly quickly but after a few minutes of high usage, not any visible effect at all and certainly no bubbling happening.The only thing to note, which is to be expected, is that I could see this freezing up the small bottles if you use it at too high of a level for too long. I ran it for a good 75-90 seconds at quite high level and the little bottle was starting to frost up slightly. It wasn’t effecting the flow or flame at all yet and I don’t see it ever being an issue when doing things like searing. You shouldn’t really be wanting to run something like this on the small bottles for long periods of time anyway. They’re just not economical or practical for that.Overall, I think it’s a pretty good value for the price and worth a try if your usage fits needing something like this. For my use of searing, I’d say it should prove to be a nice one.
