This was the lower radiator hose for a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500. The OEM existing hose had a spring clamp that was a PAIN to get off. I ended up cutting the hose off. This replacement fit perfectly.

No issues at all. I expect 8 more years out of these before I start to worry again.

Looked identical to the OEM hose I removed, right down to the yellow nylon reinforcement threads sticking out the end.

Product appears to be a quality item. I’ve never had any problems with gate’s products. Hose looks to be in good condition, both ends are cut square, and it does contain the spring inside to prevent hose collapse (not sure the description mentioned this). Replacing the radiator and hoses on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 24 valve 5.9l Cummins. 5 stars for now, will update after install and a few thousand miles.

Gates quality hoses are just as they were when I used them 40 years ago and fit as they are supposed to. This hose is of that quality and worked just as designed in my truck.

Good quality hose. The end that connects to the block is tight.have to work it around the block connection. Should be a tight connection tho. Other end slides on easily.
