It is a good instrument for the price. I needed it to scribe fine, parallel lines repeatedly to within .002" and it did the job well. Treat your tools with care and they will perform as designed.

So it cost around 80 bucks so you know it’s Chinese made. I hade to flatten a burr on the base before use and there is a lot of flex in the stand. It works but I wish I would have dropped another 100 bucks and got something that would last.

The gauge assembly hangs up on the rack, the column is not square to the base and the gauge is loose on its mount.Overall useless other than as a paperweight.

It was fairly inexpensive, so I didn't expect much. Turns out this height guage is very high quality. Smooth operating. Simple dial. Works awesome.
