I'm using these on MOS 6581 SID chips (two per chip) in a synthesizer. They really help is dissipating heat. After the synth has been on for a while, a lot of heat can be felt in the heatsink, meaning it isn't left in the chips. Once attached, these things are difficult to remove, so they should stay put. I'm not sure why the reviews aren't perfect, as copper is the best conductor next to silver, or so I'm told.

It’s exactly what it claims to be, works well, and arrived fast. If you need to cool a small chip and want something with more cooling power than aluminum these might be your horse.

Just the right size, and while I don't have need for so many aside from the one heatsink on the Raspberry Pi, I suppose I can use the others for heatsink needs elsewhere.I can't be sure though if I really want to go with this or a Pi case that also functions as a massive heatsink by having contact with the very same chip on the Pi.

I've done a ton of hobby overclocking on my pi4b with the end goal of passively cooling overvolt 6. These little heatsinks could never dream of that, but they are still pretty good.I took the corner of one down with a bastard file to confirm that it wasn't some kind of CCA or the like, and yes, they are pure copper. The material on the back *seems* like thermal transfer adhesive; if I had to guess, it's either 3m 88xx or something trying to be it. It feels like one of the thicker varieties like 8815. Either way, I've been packaged much worse adhesives with mini-heatsinks in the past, and this didn't seem like it skimped.Good stuff. Pick them up if the price is right.
