The traditional bulbs in my license plate sockets are always blowing out. With daytime running lights, these are always on and the traditional bulbs get really hot and blow out frequently. These LED upgrades are perfect for lights that are always on when the car is in use.The package contained everything I needed to get the older bulbs replaced quickly. Two housings with the LEDs and two fixtures with enough wiring and cable protector to make a connection if needed. The new housings and LEDs look great.Installing the housing was easy since the housing fit my truck perfectly with no adjustments. The housing comes equipped with a connector that fits into the existing bulb socket and it has a twist lock that clicks into the existing plate. It took about 5 minutes total to install both lights. As you can see from the old and new lights, these add an entirely new dimension to these light fixtures and is considerably brighter. The pictures show the plate location without the plate, I used AI to remove my plate, but you can see how bright each new light is as it shows a true white light versus the prior yellow tinted light.

These are a perfect fit on my 1999 F150. It’s nice that they include a replacement socket, if needed. I was fortunate that I didn’t have to replace the socket. This took no more than 20 minutes to replace both lights. It was surprising to see how dim my original OEM lamps had become. These LED lights are very bright, so bright in fact, I hope they’re not a problem to someone driving behind me on the road, especially since Texas license plates are white. I’m happy to have these installed but I do think they do not need to be so bright.
