I bought another assembly that did not fit and came with a piece missing, so I bought this assembly and comparing it for your knowledge.PROS:1. Easy to install - OEM and this aftermarket part are similar. It is a light assembly held in place with a spring on one side and a plastic lip to latch onto the metal on the other side. Both work the same way and latch on nicely unlike some other competitors.2. Superior construction and heavier compared to the other ones I bought before. These were heavier and had thicker plastic.3. Sequential lighting and smoked assembly - the look is way more polished and sporty.4. The piece fits into BMW E9x.5. The piece connects directly into the 2 prong connector in the car rather than the intermediary lightbulb holder.6. The metal connection is deep, so any water dripping down the panel will not cause a short circuit.CONS:1. Adhesive tape is tricky because you need to slide the assembly in place. Otherwise the adhesive adheres to the body panel and you can't move it again or snag the foam. TIP! Tear off a piece of the backing paper and then fold it out the the sides (top and bottom of the assembly when it is almost in). Place the rear end in first and then snap the front end in. Then with the assembly in position and the slightly exposed backing paper between assembly and panel, gently pull the exposed strip on the side and then press the assembly in.2. No rubber weatherstripping - this is foam and adhesive, so you cannot service or replace this part without damaging the foam and then reinstalling it.

Again, these lights are awesome. Nice look and way brighter than original lights. Word to the wise. The trick to an easy install is using a quick shot of foamy glass cleaner on both the light adhesive and the fender. Just slide into place, wipe off excess foam, hold it in place pushing it tight to the fender for ten seconds and walk away. Let the foam dry up for a couple of hours, or more and then give it one quick push to ensure equal adhesion.

These are very nice looking replacements if you have aged or broken side markers on your vehicle. The smoked appearance and strip of LEDs is high quality. They are plug and play as described which are all good aspects of this product. The difficulty may come in if you are not accustomed to working on your car, installing parts or other hands-on tasks. Then process is simple enough. It just becomes a little more tedious if you want them to have a completely OEM appearance. The fit is very slightly different from OEM and the included adhesive is probably sufficient. I just added my own little layer of DS tape to complete the look and make it snug fitting. If you’ve done basic modifications on your vehicle it may take some time but shouldn’t be too difficult. The upside again would be how clean they look when finished!

By far...one of the most affordable exterior upgrades for my 2007 BMW 328i e90 four door sedan and a major difference maker. Looks so much better with my A22 paint than the OEM white ones did. The smooth contour of these and the old ones can make it a little hard to grab to remove old and install new. To get a good grasp, i just put on a pair of rubber gloves and this made it an easy install. Simple plug and play. Make sure to peel paper off of foam backing for a good seal. I do recommend these especially if you are trying to smoke/blackout your ride.
