LATING Generator Interlock Kit Compatible with ITE/Siemens/Murray/Gould 150 or 200 Amp Panels, Brushed Nickel
How It Works?
- When moved left, the plate blocks the generator back feed circuit breaker and allows the main breaker to remain ON.
- When moved right, the generator back feed circuit breaker may be turned ON, but the main circuit breaker is blocked and will remain OFF.
What is a generator interlock?
- Generator lock consists of two sliding metal plates held together by three bolts.
- It is a device just manual slide left and right interlock plate to allow safe back feeding of your home through a portable generator during power outages, preventing utility and generator supplies from being ON at the same time.
- It’s used to direct the generator power to any circuit in your house safely in the event of an unexpected power outage, so that you can use electricity normally.
- NOTE: Only qualified personnel should be working on any panel box. An amateur should never open or work on a panel box. Please follow all rules and regulations of the National Electric Code.
EASY TO INSTALL THE LOCKOUT KIT:
Step1. Power Off
Power off, place the bottom plate(holes only) EXACTLY as shown and then use the pen to mark holes through the bottom plate's holes.
Step2. Drill Holes
Remove the panel cover from the breaker panel and drill the three holes marked on the panel cover using the supplied 3/16'' drill bit.
Step3. Install Interlock
Insert the screws from rear of cover, install the bottom plate and top plate on the front cover of the breaker panel. Please make sure that the top plate can be pulled freely (enough space).
Step4. Test The Lock
As shown, you see that the main breaker is ON, the generator breaker is OFF and can not be switched ON. The inter lock has been properly installed. Lastly, apply all labels on electric panel.

Drill Bit And Screws
- Supplied drill bit is made of steel and plated with PVD titanium on the surface with a metallic appearance, never fading, high hardness and wear resistance.
- The surface of our screws is galvanized, which is durable and not easy to get rusted.
Generator Breaker Retainer Straps
- There are some plays in the connection between the generator breakers and it may be some movement. Zip ties go around the generator breaker and adjacent breakers to hold them solidly to the panel. This helps keep the generator breaker from shifting.

Fit and finish were excellent.was able to flip for right hand located breaker,also warning sticker was easy to peel off and reapply to other side.Instalation was simple,just clamped the back part to panel cover and drilled in place. Perfect fit. Price was probably the only thing I could complain about,but for roughly $10 more than comparable devices with less quality and no blue coating,I think this one worth it

I initially bought another, cheaper one. I just couldn't get it to fit. The holes in the base plate were too far to the left, so there was not enough movement. It was also rather rough in finish.This was just the opposite. Very well finished. More importantly, when I "adjusted" the holes in the panel cover so that this fitted snuggly around the main power switch, it worked flawlessly. You wouldn't think it hard to get something like this right, but apparently it is, and these guys did.

Quality machined aluminum pieces with a nice finish. Only improvement I would make is to replace the standard nuts, which can possibly loosen, with self locking nuts or at least use some LocTite on the threads.
