I have tried another brand of bowling tape and was very disappointed. So when I ordered these I had high hopes but fairly low expectations. I wanted to try the different kinds so I ordered the variety pack. My problem is the outside of my thumb is always sore after a few games and occasionally I get a blister as well. So having tape to protect my thumb is something I really want to work.I took these to the lanes for a quick 3 games solo play (so I was constantly bowling and working up a good sweat, no sitting around between throws). The previous tape I tried would not last a single game before just becoming a mess. I started with the #1 (Red) tape. This is the thinnest and is suppose to be a very fast release for the thumb. I don't know if I am experienced enough to notice the release speed differences so I won't focus on that for this review.What I found is after 3 games this tape was still on my thumb exactly as it was when I applied it before starting. This alone is AMAZING and exactly what I wanted. The second thing was protecting my thumb from soreness and blisters. And yep no pain whatsoever in my thumb and no blisters or anything.I am absolutely sold on this product and will be using it every time I head out to do some bowling. I look forward to seeing how the other tapes perform as well and finding the one I like most. But just knowing I found a product that actually works is just fantastic. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone who loves to bowl but does not want a sore thumb after!!!

I started using tape recently bc I was dropping the ball early. I followed a youtube vid on how to put the tape in the ball, how much to use, correct position, etc. and it has worked well for me. The tape makes my thumb hole seem snug but the ball releases easily, no problems with getting my thumb out of the ball.One thing to note: the tapes used in your bowling ball are recommended to be changed after 3-6 games. I wanted to test that and found that for me, after 5 games the ball started to stick (not releasing my thumb quick enough) causing bad shots.

Head and shoulders above some other brands that I've tried. I say that because this tape never comes off (in part or in full) while I am bowling. Others lose their sticking ability before game 1 is over or at some point during practice / league. With this Genesis tape, I only need to use 1 piece per league night / practice session so this is a less costly product and inspires confidence that I can focus on bowling and not on readjusting tape.
