This is a quality product. I normally only use the fiskars series of splitting axes and a silky 500 when I don't have my milwalkie top handle chainsaw. The design of this larger bushcraft axe has allot of promise. I plan to use this axe in place of my hatchet and large splitting axe. I hand filed the axe and placed a clean edge and now it will shave hairs. The other thing I did was get rid of the Paracord and removed the section it wraps on. They gave you a place for mini lighters but no real tinder? So I cut of the Paracord portion and drilled a hole for a 36" length of fire rope to clip to. This seems like a more complete option for fire starting.

Great axe, but arrived dull as hell.After some sharpening it's more than capable of splitting wood
