These strings make my guitar sound the way it's supposed to sound I've used them for years

These are great strings, but they are not for my taste. They are very articulate and somewhat bright. I think these would be perfect on a rosewood body dreadnaught or OM size guitar for fingerstyle. And if I had a rosewood body dred or OM, these would be the strings I would get. However, I play mahogany body guitars and prefer a darker, warmer, woodier tone so I actually prefer their vintage bronze set over these. But if I ever do get that D-28 on my wishlist, then I'll stock up on these.

I play professionally and change strings often. Through the years I’ve tried many different brands, all the usual suspects like D’addario, Elixir, Martin, John Pearse, DR, Stringjoy, LaBella, Ernie Ball, and some unusual brands, and very expensive strings like Thomastik-Infeld and Optima. I will still try other strings, but these days other brands usually come off after one gig and a new set of GHS Americanas go back on. Love the 11-50 set on my 12-fret short-scale Mahogany Taylor. For me, nothing beats the way they feel and play. Plus, it seems to me the longevity of these strings is every bit as good, if not better than coated strings.

Coming from a lunatic who has tried almost every string brand, gauge, and alloy in existence, these in 13s are are to acoustic what GHS big core nickel rockers in 10.5 are to electric. That is, the very best string available. Martin, D'addario, and Ernie Ball should be ashamed.

Great strings. Warm without being too warm and bright without being too bright. Very balanced tone in which I prefer and they sound great. These strings and the White Bronze are my go-to and favorites. Recently I've been on a string experimentation phase and tried D'Addario EXP, XT, Nickel Bronze, Martin EC, DR Veritas, Elixir, just to name a few. Hands down, I prefer GHS over all these other brands. The brands I mentioned are ok to my ears, but there was always a draw back regarding longitivity or lacking a balanced tone. You get pretty good longevity out of these strings considering they're uncoated (but cryogenically treated). I usually change these out after a couple months which for the price - is really good. When putting GHS Americana's or White Bronze on my Martin, its like coming back home to what you love and know.

Tried these after reading reviews in a guitar forum and liked them right away. I play old timey fingerstyle blues and rags. I also like GHS PB thin core strings.

I've been playing for over 40 years and thought it time to try out some different string brands. I was very surprised by these strings. They have a good overall balance with warm tonality. I had a small problem with a slightly corroded G string in the first set. Liking the tone, I wrote GHS to inform them, and immediately a new G string and complementary set of strings arrived in record time. Both the strings and customer attention were very impressive. I'm very pleased with these strings. If you're looking for a fresh feel, then I highly recommend you give these string a try!
