Great product although the T-Bar that was shipped did not come with the hole to put the main strut in place.

I use this to mount my laptop to my electric drum set. I bought a separate clamp to mount it to the set (I watched the included video on the product and the guy mentioned the mounting clamp was sold separate, so I thought I needed to get one) but when the mount arrived, the mounting clamp was already included, just like the picture shows. If you do plan on getting a separate mounting clamp, I would suggest getting a clamp that 'pivots', so that you can turn the entire thing left/right, especially if you're planning on mounting a laptop on the left or right side instead of the front bar.If you need to mount the laptop to the left or right side of the drum set, you can always just have the clamps hold something flat, and then set the laptop on top of that - that way you can turn the laptop to face you perfectly without needing a mounting clamp that pivots. I have an external monitor in front of my drumset, so I needed to mount my laptop to the left since that was the only place I had room; I fastened a laptop fan/cooling pad on the mount and clamped it down with the adjustable rubber pads, and then set my laptop on top of the cooling pad, then I turned the laptop to face me. both monitors sat right next to each other facing me perfectly.Anyway, it's massively sturdy just like most drum hardware should be, and you can adjust it many different ways to hold more than just a laptop. It could hold sheet music folders, a midi keyboard, or a sampler like the MPC or Maschine. My laptop is massive and there's plenty of room to mount something smaller or something even bigger. Every piece feels well built, weighty and solid all the way through. I'm super satisfied.

This thing is built like a tank. Fit my electronic drum set perfectly and placed my laptop just where I needed it allowing easy reach to watch videos, access my mixer program, etc. The quick-release clamp fit perfectly and the black and chrome match my kit perfectly. One thing I would mention though is that the tray is pretty large, or should I say deep. You have plenty of adjustment range for larger items, but for a standard sized laptop the tray sticks out in the back quite a bit. Not a problem if you have room behind it, but as you can see in my pictures I use it up against the wall. Problem was solved when I shortened the two legs of the tray myself. I cut off quite a bit as you can see comparing my picture with the stock one. I still give it 5 stars because it is really well made.

Excellent piece of gear. I didn't even know it existed. I was looking for something to mount my MacBook Pro to my drum rack when this beauty popped up. Haven't looked back since. I absolutely love this thing!!
