This exhaust is good but don’t buy it if you have a 1500 it will not fit

I would rate this at 5 stars if it was sold as a weld together product. I will say as others have the clamps are worthless just weld it. Fitment is amazing it tucks up the exhaust extremely well and straight. Instruction on my 2006 3500 8.1 where spot on. The sound is deep and throaty like a big block should sound. If I had a twin truck I would defiantly buy it again.

Great product, simple to install. Yes, the clamps are essentially useless, but I think it's because the steel is so hard that they won't crush it. I welded mine together. Or buy better clamps. But, direct fit with no issues at all.Mileage is already improved. It is MUCH louder than stock. Like, a lot louder. I may end up putting a stock muffler in, as it's a work truck, but it really does sound good!

Not happy with this exhaust whatsoever. First when I cut my old one off after the cats, the instructions tell you to cut 13" from the front of the muffler towards the front of the truck. Well I did that exactly and the new one didn't line up and fit right. i ended up welding that part on.Second, I put the rest of the exhaust on and the clamps did not even get tight enough to hold the damn pipes on. I got the clamps as tight as I could and they still didn't hold. So I ended up having to weld everything on. Lastly I couldn't put the exhaust tip on because it stuck out to far. Not very happy considering I spent nearly $500 on this and nothing worked correctly. Never buying from Gibson again.Once I welded everything up I will say it does sound good. Not to loud (would like it a little louder though). Has a good deep tone. Can definitely feel a little more giddy up in the truck

Fits prefect. Looks and Sounds great. Nice deep tone. No annoying done in the cab. Only downfall are the clamps. They broke before I could get them tight enough. Recommend welding.

When I first opened the box I was disappointed with the 4" exit and 5" tip...I am not a fan of huge pipes for a "statement", I prefer function over looks. But when I got under the truck to cut the old pipes off...I realized that it is very logical. Stock is dual three inch going into one restrictive muffler and exiting a single three inch. While dual 3" necking down to single 4" is a tad restrictive...it provides much needed backpressure and scavenging effects. It is just slightly louder than stock...but a good loud...deep and smooth. There is little interior noise while cruising...but you know it when you open it up. Fuel economy hasn't drop a bit. There is a noticeable power and torque increase. It is very well constructed with my only complaint being the clamps...you can't seem to get them tight enough without breaking them. I had to go to O'Reillys for some better quality ones. Welding would be the way to go...if you can.The system was very easy to install...took 2 hours in my driveway and I didn't even need a jack or stands. Here is my video of before and after https://youtu.be/XHkHeZfbgZc
