Works great. Plug-n-play

Got this when I upgraded my router. The router is better in every sense except it only has a single outgoing ethernet slot, so I needed to get something that let me split to multiple cables. This works great, and is small enough to not be in the way of anything else. It's nice to have all my bigger devices all hardwired again, and I haven't noticed any issues with the signal.

This switch is great for the cost. Connect your source ethernet cable from your router and plug in the usb for power and then you have 4 more ports for devices to be wired to the network. Upon testing I was able to easily hit speeds averaging 400 mbps on devices connected.

I wanted to improve my latency and speed for gaming and this was an easy fix. I dropped using WIFI and moved to using 1GB ethernet. I have already noticed a decreased latency from 17ms to 6ms on my PC's and the speed is up from 650/WIFI to 900/Ethernet. I have had no issues or dropped packets and my gaming is now smooth as can be. I notice no speed degradation if using my TV and 2 systems at the same time. Downloaded 100GB games from steam on both PC's at same time with no speed drop. It is powered by a USB-C port instead of the typical ac adapter. This is a huge plus. 5 stars for the low price and small size.

this lil network spreader be doin the lords work, lettin me hook up all my gadgets without them fancy switches n such. powered by USB which be mighty convenient, and that 1000Mbps speed ain't no joke - it be zoomin faster than my cat when she hear the treat bag shakin. the build quality surprisingly solid for somethin this compact, though the ports be a tad snug at first like them new boots before ya break em in.

Though called a 'splitter,' this is a network switch/hub. The instructions are pretty sparse, so I'm not sure the actual hardware (there is a difference between a hub and a switch, and a splitter). Nonetheless, this thing works. It's pretty small. Though it includes a 3' USB-A to USB-C power cable, there is no adapter. I was able to get this thing up and running very quickly with 2 home media devices.I wasn't able to do any throughput testing to determine how much of a load it can handle, but it worked for me. E.g., connection 4 x 1 Gigabit devices and simultaneously using them with the 1 uplink port.Having the uplink port on the opposite side of the downlink ports worked well for me, since this is not the typical layout. If you need a small portable network switch, with minimal power requirements (doesn't use a power brick), this is probably the device to get.

This is a very nice 1 to 4-port ethernet splitter in an all-metal case. Please make sure that you understand that this is a splitter (as clearly stated) and not a switch. The big difference between the two is the ability to manage traffic (data packets) to try and spread the network speed as evenly across all of the ports as possible. A switch is able to manage the traffic automatically and this splitter doesn't manage and tries to spread the speed across all of the ports. The metal case helps dissipate any generated heat and makes the device more durable. This splitter is great to use for security cameras or any devices that aren't dependent on large amounts of data. Take for example if you have a game system and a computer in a room where both are rarely used at the same time. Even if they are both used at the same time, this splitter should be fine for most home users. It doesn't come with a USB power brick, which I was thankful for because I already have an entire box of them sitting in a closet.🐻 *Statement/Disclaimer: This review is part of Amazon's Vine Program which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for sincere/frank reviews. This is an old-fashioned hub. It splits the bandwidth between each port, rather than switching at full-speed like a modern switch. I didn't realize anyone still made these. Don't bother - spend the same and get a switch instead. Two stars because it worked. Also two stars because it worked.
