I love the hydraulic piston height adjustment. It is way better than a thumb screw or the twist-to-raise/lower adjustment types that I've used in the past. I would say the seat is comfortable, although it's taking some getting used to because my last one was round. My only gripe is that the back rest doesn't adjust more inward. I tend to sit toward the front of the throne, and that makes the backrest effectively useless. Maybe I'll try adding a foam cushion behind me to see if it helps.
