These scissors are nice and sharp! They have a comfortable fit on my hand and are easy to manipulate. I love that they come with a nice case. I've only used them a few times, so I can't speak to their long-term durability but they seem like a good choice.

easy to handle. I saved time to cut my dogs’ hair. The size was perfect. It came with a nice case, so I can keep it safe and clean. I really liked the scissors for the price I paid for it.

I just started grooming my five year-old Havanese mix dog because the frequent trips to the groomer were getting quite expensive and so I thought maybe I could take care of this myself. I don’t do a great job but I make sure she has no knots anywhere and clip her short with a #3 blade for her body and then scissor clip the rest. This is my second pair of scissors and by far the best one. They feel sturdy, but not too heavy in my hands and seem to be made of good quality material. They are sharp! While I was grooming her today I noticed a spot of blood on her side and I was worried because I thought I had cut her, but since she had not yelped or anything I was surprised. I put the scissors down and started checking her and I found nothing but then I saw blood dripping off my left middle finger and realized I had cut myself. So be careful when you use these because they are sharp! I’m still learning to use them so I can’t give a thorough review but as far as grooming around her muzzle, they work really well. I’ll just have to be really cautious so I don’t cut her, or myself. If you are an experienced groomer, I think you will be fine. I have small hands and they feel fine to me (but maybe the reason I cut myself is because of that— the blades are long). At under $30, these are a great value.

The first time I tried to use these on my pup I realized the blades were loose and misaligned. So about every other snip the blades would run into each other and wouldn’t close at all. I tried bending them and tightening them but nothing worked. They just are so badly misaligned that half or more of the time the blades hit each other rather than skimming close to each other so these are basically worthless.

This pair of straight shear grooming scissors are sharp and did an effective job of trimming up my Golden Retriever. I used them to trim the fur in and around her paws and ears. I also used them to even out and shape the "flag" of her tail. This was the first time I've tackled grooming her and I attribute my success to having access to YouTube and good tools, including this pair of scissors.The scissors seem well balanced and hopefully they maintain their sharpness for awhile. They are attractive in appearance and the diamond pivot nut is a bit over-the-top but a nice touch if you're into that sort of thing. They fit my somewhat large fingers ok although I wish the finger openings were a bit larger. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and may purchase a pair of Gladdog's thinning shears as well.This product gets my seal of approval and a 5 star rating for a reasonably priced pair of grooming scissors.

I'm beginning to learn how to groom our pets as it's just so expensive & time consuming taking them in a lot.These are great shears that cut well and will last me a long time!I would recommend these to anyone wanting to groom their own pets.

I got these because I was not satisfied with a cheaper pair I bought,These are a nice weight, they feel well balanced and solid. They cut very well which makes me more confident that I can cut my dog's hair cleanly and quickly, no hesitation which annoys my dog and causes him to squirm.It also comes with a nice zippered case with a cloth to wipe them and a small vial of oil to use when needed. These extra touches will help me keep the scissors in good shape, I normally just stick scissors wherever is handy, the case will protect them.
