This is a great little flash. I use it on a fuji xpro3. It is light, small(ish), and stylish. It is easy to dial in. I use it on manual set a reasonable iso for conditions, set flash power (usually to medium) and use the aperture shot to shot to control brightness. It works like a charm. Recycle time is surprisingly fast. Illumination is pretty even. Built in battery is brilliant and can easily get me through a shoot. For simple applications this is all the flash you need and it is an absolute steal for that price.

It's lightweight, made of plastic, but it's fun! Direct flash, so you're almost always going to get that "look" but if you dial in the power and shoot in full manual ( with manual ISO ) you can get a great look to your photos.Honestly, it being full manual doesn't bother me all that much, TTL is cool but I almost always end up tweaking the compensation on TTL flashes anyway, so a touch extra work to get the camera settings aligned as well doesn't bother me.Optical slave modes also works! It's not a super high output flash and the recycle time definitely slows down a bit at the higher outputs, not too big of a deal unless you're trying to add fill flash in daylight conditions.Battery seems to last a long time, but I haven't exactly been trying to do event photography with it. I wouldn't hesitate to try it at a short event, but you may want to have something with replaceable batteries, and if it's a professional shoot, always have a reliable backup to your main rig.Bought mostly to go with the retro silver Olympus E-M5 Mark III I have, but found it works just as well on my Sony A7C, A7R IV, and A6600 cameras, as well as a friend's Nikon D5600. To my surprise, the silver doesn't even look that out of place on a black camera body either. It doesn't quite reach 5 stars for me because the battery is integrated and the build quality isn't quite as high as I'd expect for the price. If this was $65 it'd be a full five stars as is. But at $100? Well, it's okay and great if you're going for an aesthetic, but if you just want a good flash there are other more competitive options that give you more features and are more robust. ( Albeit, without the classic look )

This is a really neat retro style flash. There are no bells, no whistles; set to auto, follow the directions to set the camera, and take photos. You can use manual settings and follow the guide on the back however, I feel as though the guide is off a little. The photos attached, where the flash isn't mounted to the camera is the auto settings while using this flash. It obviously gives a more harsh lighting effect as a small source without diffusion. I should have used the more narrow light spread to take these photos but, I wasn't really thinking about it. The flash is extremely lightweight, almost to the point that it feels like a toy. It charges an internal battery via USB-C. As mentioned before, you have settings for auto, manual, and you can use this as a slave flash although I haven't tried that. I think this might be more appropriate for closer photos outdoors as fill light. I haven't tried that either however, once I do, I'll come back to update this review. It's extremely easy to use and would look really cool atop a more retro looking camera (Zf, Zfc...) or maybe a Leica. It is much more easy to transport than a traditional flashgun but you don't get the features of a traditional flashgun. If you're looking for a flash to play around with your artsy side, go for it... I wouldn't count on it for client work.

Liked how it sits higher on camera so the lens shade isn’t in the way. And the incremental manual light output settings are easy to use for just a little fill light or as a main source
