We had an insulation job that required taping all joints. We used these scissors to cut some to gnarliest foil backed mastic tape and fiberglass. Stuff that dulls soft blades easily. The scissors lasted the whole job and kept their blade edge. I highly recommend these scissors.

These are quality scissors that are heavy duty and well made. I had planned to use these in the kitchen but have decided they will go to the greenhouse or other heavy duty work. They are accurately shown by the manufacturer with size and construction. I have used them to cut heavy denim and thin paper. These scissors are very versatile. They do not come with guards, which I never use anyway. These two pair are very reasonably priced for their sharpness and construction.

These are very nice scissors, heavy in hand but not too heavy. They cut like butter and the operation is smooth and precise. They aren't loose at all and as someone who notices these things, the first thing I saw was the lock nut on them meaning i don't have to worry about them becoming loose or tight on their own over time. The grips and the ergonomics of them are great. These are the nicest scissors I've had and at the price of them for two is a real bargain. These folks really did a good job here.

These are scissors that will WORK for you...they have a very study, almost industrial feel, but they still offer a smooth glide feel as they cut through cardboard, or whatever you ask them to. They are comfortable to hold in your hand (I'm female but have M to L hands), and you don't need to force them in any way to cut even thick or difficult items. The smaller scissor is perfect for my kitchen, as it is easy to handle and fits nicely in a drawer or block. The larger ones could also work there, but have enough size and heft that they might also work well for home improvement projects.Very nice quality and craftsmanship, definitely a good value for the price with the set!

I have been trying to cut heavy pieces of gauze dressing every day with a cheap pair of scissors. They don't cut that well, takes awhile and is uncomfortable. So, I ordered these. They are very heavy duty and extremely well made. The blades are thick and fit together perfectly. The handles are coated in a thick rubbery plastic to protect the hands and fingers. The blades are held together with a bolt and a lock nut so that when they get loose (and that might not happen) they can be tightened. They cut thru my thick gauze like a hot knife thru warm butter. They aren't cheap but if you need scissors for a heavy duty task these are the ones to get.

Wow. I was prepared for a robust set. And this sure did deliver on that front. The larger pair, because of its weight and angle can sure cut through cardboard. My young son wanted to try it out when he saw me using it and it made me nervous because they’re so sharp and heavy. These are serious scissors.I like that they’re full tang. And that the nut can come off to sharpen them. Although I admit, I probably won’t ever be studious enough to do that myself.I intended to keep them both in the kitchen. Now that I see them, I think the bigger pair makes more sense in the garage. They could power through rose stems no problem. It’s nice to have a heavy duty pair. I don’t think they replace lighter, everyday scissors.
