A bit fragile and the guage is small at about 1" diameter. Comes with metal sleeve for storage. It works.

le thermomètre est tel que décrit. Il fonctionne très bien et il est facile d'utilisation. J'ai vérifié la calibration avant la première utilisation et elle était très bien. Seules contraintes, il ne faut pas l'immerger dans l'eau lors du nettoyage, ni le laisser dans le four pendant la cuisson. Cela n'affecte en rien pour mon utilisation.

Too bad I missed the return window. The glass is fogged up so I can't read anything, I've only used this once before. Also, the writing on the cover/holder disappeared after I washed it once.

I do not find this worse than some or better., It reads fairly quickly and is accurate, but it just as easily fogs up if held too long in the meat. I do like the square silcone covered rim. The design stops it from rolling when placed on the counter.. I paid about 1/2 the price it is now, so it is a bit pricey.
