This top handle and round disc are MDF, not Wood. (Which means if it gets wet, it expands and is trash.) The upper stick to spin is Bamboo, not wood. The Pull handle and bottom point are wood, but the point was assembled poorly and will fall out or wobble with little effort. The string used has an aglet that is too small for the hole making it looser than ideal, reducing its spinning ability.If you are looking for a cheap top that might function okay, but is made of poor materials and an inferior design, this is the product for you.Beware the colors shown and in the description are not what are sent. One top is a yellow handle with light blue top while the other is an orange handle with a purple top. They both are missing the spiral imprint on the top making them look plain.

The wooden tops seem to be good quality and fun for my 3 year old! Unfortunately, one of the pull strings arrived frayed and broken, the black end piece is snapped in half and doesn't thread into the hole in the top well, and the string is frayed hanging on by a thread and I'm sure it will snap after a few pulls...Not sure if I want to go through the hassle of returning them as my daughter is obsessed with the one that works..

I bought these as a reminder to my great nieces and great nephew of what me and my siblings loved to play with when we were kids! They loved them! I'm glad they were able to have some fun with something non-electonic.

One of these tops arrives with the dowel broken - the hole drilled through was too large, weakening the dowel; even if it hadn't broken before it arrived it would not have lasted.The other one seems nice enough; we'll see how it lasts. But I didn't expect to have only one for the price.

These tops are fun, sturdy and easy for my 5 yo to play with independently, my 3yo with assistance. Good quality materials. Our only issue is that one of the tops spinning part isn’t glued flush to the connector therefore it wobbles and doesn’t spin for very long.

These are a hit with the kids, 2 & 5 years old. One of them (the tops, that is) will spin smoothly for up to 4 minutes. The other one, the tack on the point is off center, so it rattles "angry" for a couple of minutes. The variety is interesting for the kids, but it does mean that one of them is poorly assembled, thus only 4 stars. Also, the angry one has some splinters on the spindle. The pull cords are good, although the 2 year old figured out how to un-thread the pull button, so it would then be a choking hazard. I might have to glue it or tie another knot below the button.
