Motor stutters out of the box. Have yet to remove esc-motor connectors and solder wires, but from my experience this indicates a broken connection inside one of the 3 wires leading to the motor, hopefully I can fix this and avoid wasting my money. Also the ESC is definitely not waterproof which is fine for my application but that is absolutely false advertising to claim it is, the ESC even says waterproof on the side. Wires also seem pretty low gauge and if i can get it working I expect they may get hot at wide open throttle. I have attempted to drive it with an Arduino as well and it doesn't appear that you can calibrate the ESC but I'll know for sure if I can get it working.

It wasn’t sheer or warm but it did run pretty well in my boat till I got the esc too wet. Motor still runs great... it’s on its third esc...

I was skeptical of GoolRC at first, but so far this system has been a dream. I put it in a 1/18 ECX Ruckus, and it's been nothing but fun on 3s... until the differentials began to destroy themselves under the immense power of this system.If it ever catches on fire, I'll be sure to update this!One thing to note: It uses M3 screws for some of the motor mounts, and those happened to be the ones needed in the Ruckus, so I had to drill out the motor mount to fit the 3mm screws. Not worth docking a star.Update: The system now resides inside of a 1/14 WLToys buggy, still no issues. The picture on the amazon listing now depicts a different ESC, so I can't speak to the reliability of that, but the older model I have is still working great.

Looks nice, but very unhappy with the performance. Motor makes a loud whine (I re-set the pinion gear multiple times so it's not bound up). Near zero stall torque means if you're on a slight uphill slope or on grass, you might have to kick your car to get it moving.Once it's rolling though, it's very fast. Too fast...and this is the lowest KV option.Did I get a bad one?

Does not come with depicted ESC, the motor seems great for the money but I am not sure that the ESC can be calibrated and it does not do much for the motor. I connected the motor to another ESC and the RC car had a considerable speed increase. Other than that, the price is okay and the motor is sufficient. The power wires are too small and the deans connector is low quality and hard to plug my batteries into it, I think the pins aren’t aligning too well. I’ve not had any issues with other ESCs connecting to my batteries. I have several RC cars and the battery plugs fit flawlessly to them.
