My 12 year old is 5’ tall and had a very slender waist. We ordered a 14 and she loves it enough, we will order another in a different color.

This is a nice kids skirt. It's a beautiful navy blue and is pretty thick, not see through and comfortable to wear. It is not a light airy skirt because it is a thicker material. It says maxi but its really a midi skirt, it comes mid calf on my 5 ft 12 year old daughter. If that's the look you want then it's a great skirt, othwerwise I'd keep looking.

This skirt is so cute! My daughter loves it. It is well made and roomy. For older ages I would probably go up a size if you want it to be very loose.

It looks adorable and my daughter loves twirling around in it. It’s definitely a flowy skirt. The green color is beautiful and the style is just what she was expecting. I used the sizing charts and it fit her perfectly. I am pleased with purchase.

I love the warmth, the fit, the look. Its drawstring means a perfect fit every time. The quality is bery good. Just don't wear it around a shedding pet! I made that mistake. A good bacuuming took care of it, though.

The linen/poly blend looks elegant and the swing skirt style feels so timeless. Pretty impressed with this. Good craftsmanship for the price. Of course there are wrinkles unless you iron it (that's linen for you!) and it'll do best if you line dry, so if that's not compatible with your family laundry habits this might not be right for your kid. But if that's no barrier for you, this is a cute piece! The green was an understated and pretty sophisticated shade, almost an army green which is a nice change from super-bright clothes for young people. It's definitely something a tween girl would love, especially if she's into the popular "cottagecore" aesthetic!!!! The comfortable cut (nice drape and not skimpy with the fabric) plus the elastic waistband make this super easy to wear but it feels quite elegant, which is nice. It's good with a t-shirt for casual wear, but if you dress it up a little your girl can feel like a woodland princess in a fairy tale.
