ILD / Compression Rating Explanation

This product has a compression rating of 44 lbs.

Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress the piece of foam by 1 inch in a 7x7 inch area.

For example, if you put 44 lbs in a 7x7 inch area, the foam will compress 1 inch.

Density Explanation

Many mistakenly take high density foams as firmer foams but that is not the case. A foam that is 44 ILD in a medium and high density will feel the same.

Density is the lifespan of the foam, the higher the density the more material is used to make the foam hence making it last longer.

****Disclaimers****

Many advertise their 1.8 density foam as high density which is false advertisement. When looking at foam products you should look at the ILD / Compression Rating ( Firmness and Softness ) of the foam and Density ( Lifespan / Durability ) of the foam.

Sunlight will turn this unit from white to yellow, if you do not want a color change on your unit we suggest keeping it away from direct sunlight.

I had a lot of pain when sitting and decided to put these new cushions on my chairs. They fit great and it was easy to replace my old ones--I reused the two layers of batting. The cushions are very firm and I was afraid I had made a mistake--however I have been sitting on them for a few days now and my pain is completely gone so I am very happy with my purchase!!! They came quicker that the time estimate they gave me.

I needed to replace the sagging cushions on my couch. Based on the description provided with the item, I selected this product not only did it arrive three days earlier, which helped because I could start my project sooner the foam was packed neatly and compact. It was easy to trim the excess from the cushion to fit my existing cushion covers with a crafters X-Acto blade. The cushions are firm and are just as they were when I first purchased the couch. I am very happy with the product great value for the price, easy to cut and work with. If needed and available in the future, I would definitely buy this product again.

Nice product, sized as advertised. Its nice and firm which is what i wanted. After a few minutes it starts to soften up and feels supportive when used as a seat. I have back problems and need firm foam to help my pain. I purchased a new chair and it was much too soft. I was unable to sit in it for more than a minute or two before I started hurting. This immediately fixed it and made my expensive new furniture useable. There were no odors that I could notice. And it came w a piece of material to wrap around it to easily slide it into the cover, which i had expected to have to provide myself. It was a nice surprise to have that already included! Highly recommend.

I am a heavier person, looking to replace my office chair cushion with a dense and firm foam. The item came very well packed; I received what I expected: firm and dense. Out of curiosity, I tried it on the couch by replacing one of the seats. It is very comfortable, and firm, holding on perfectly my body weight. I am thrilled because now I can change my dining room chairs' cushion, and my sofa's as well. Except, I will chose perhaps 2 inch (or so) for the chairs. Highly recommend.
