Bought a new shower kit and it ended up being to close to the handles, so I put an extension on the extension and now the shower is great with lots of room. My only concern is the weight of it hanging out 30 inches.

This shower head extension arm is really nice. It's solidly built and sturdy. It came with a shower arm and flange, but since I already had these installed, I just installed the extension arm portion. It also came with two extra rubber washers, a roll of teflon tape, a hex key and set screw, a simple wrench, and a small polyester cloth. I thought it was a nice touch to include the cloth to put over the tightening both to keep it from being scratched with the wrench. It took less than 5 minutes to install with no issues.Edited to add that this also comes with a hex key and set screw, a simple wrench, and a small polyester cloth. I thought it was a nice touch to include the cloth to put over the tightening bolt to keep it from being scratched with the wrench. Also, I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Why? Because I thought giving this 4 stars seemed fair but now I cannot think of any issue to complain about so I have no justification deducting a star.I use a hand-held shower head, but I was still able to adjust the extension arm in a variety of positions. So, If you have a fixed shower head, the last joint of the shower arm will let you aim the shower head in any direction. I am 5'9" (69 in.), my shower arm comes out of the wall at 77 in., and I was able to position the shower head directly above the center of the bath tub at about 80 in.The joint locks are easy to loosen and tighten and they seem to take a really good grip once tightened. I have not had any of the joints loosen and slip on their own. Also, I have not noticed any change in water pressure with this item than without it.

This is the high quality Shower Head Extension Arm that we needed to combine with our rainfall shower head. The metal is an excellent quality and the aesthetics are absolutely beautiful. Installation was very easy and it's able to be done in just a few minutes. Plus this arm comes with a tool that works perfectly to get the installation completed. The tool isn't internet to be used for anything else but it's intent for use here is on par and very much appreciated. Due to the great quality the arm doesn't shift or lower while in use even when its being extended above our heads. The price might seem steep just for an extended arm but if you have a nice shower head this will pair with it flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again when there's a need or as a gift as well!

Only GOOD things to say about this shower head extension bar!__First of all it is all metal. I mean, that is HUGE. It seems more and more difficult to find real metal fittings. So that is the biggest plus IMO I could not test it with a magnet as it is a brass core, but I can tell it is not plastic__Installation was super straight forward and instructions are clear in case You’re unfamiliar with such installations. All of the tools needed to install the bar are included__NOTE: There is a TEENY TINY set screw that fits near the end of one of the arm sections… this screw fell out of the box when I opened it. Just so happen I heard it hit the hardwood floor or else I may not have even realized it. I found it but there is also an extra one included in the box. Just thought I should mention that__I appreciate that The bar can be extended overhead to create a rain shower effect if I choose__BOTTOM LINE: Pleased even more than I expected to be with this extension bar and would absolutely choose it again

This is one of those strange times when an excellent product takes a backseat to the manner the product was packaged. I do not mean the box in which the G-Promise shower extension arm came in, I mean the sum total of what was in the box. For anything that someone might one to repair --ever-- one can only hope that the packaging is as well thought out as this was. For instance, there is a set screw in the nut that holds the adaptor to the tube that comes out of the wall and it is IN the nut already when you open the package. However, someone thought about this and realized that the cost of dealing with a customer with a problem would far exceed the cost of simply including an extra set screw! That's not all, they include the appropriate wrench! It is nothing fancy, just punched out from sheet steel or from steel blanks, however, it works perfectly and, if someone does not have any other wrenches, they can still enjoy a wonderful shower afterwards. Let me tell you, there is something fundamentally wrong when the wealthy among us can have a shower where the water falls straight down in the middle of the tub and the rest of us live with the expedient, though far from ideal, conventional shower installation in the wall. Just consider the ways that a pipe can be secured if that pipe travels alongside a rafter. One could even use the contraption that is used to install a ceiling fan so that one can hang from it if one knocks the step stool down and simply use that to hold the pipe in much the same way that it holds the ceiling fan's down pipe! Ok, this isn't that and no, you cannot hang from it. Nevertheless, one does get the luxury of a shower that is directly overhead and that is absolutely worth it.They include a down arm --the pipe that comes out of the wall-- and a flange that are gorgeous! The only way that it could have been better would be if the flange was also metal. Even from very close, it is hard to determine what is plastic that has a chrome paint applied and a piece of metal that has had a chromic bath. The flange is much more elegant than the part that is normally there and, frankly, if I had known where there was a shutoff valve, I would have changed the tube and the flange. The flange is a cylinder about an inch tall by about four inches in diameter and that looks far better than the flat thing that is normally the case. There were extra washers in the kit as well and it is really nice when people think about the possible challenges and solve them the easy way. That is to say that an irate customer is more expensive than a little baggie with an extra set screw and a couple of washers. They also thought about the teflon tape that you will need and they simply included a VERY GENEROUS roll. So that now, everything that you need to have a wonderful shower after you are done is packaged in the box. All that chromed stuff? Packaged in what I think are polystyrene bags. They even included a piece of polishing cloth that does double duty with the wrench so as to prevent scratches to the finish; it isn't that big of a deal to most people, however, presentation can be everything and presentation makes the product. So, when the work is done, one cannot show the completed project while there are fingerprints all over the G-Promise Shower Extension Arm!The box is a plain, albeit, substantial, box and yet, the product is packaged so well, between two thick pieces of what seems to be polyethylene foam, that there is zero rattle. In fact, one could give the G-Promise Shower Extension Arm! as a present and no amount of shaking would give away the contents of the box! I am certain of one thing, I am thoroughly enjoying my G-Promise Shower Extension Arm! One particularly salient feature of the shower extension arm is that the joints are held by large...er...wing nuts, however, the actual joint has detents! That does not mean one can completely loosen the wing nut or that one has to, it means that when you loosen the nut a bit, the result goes from one detent to another with minimal force rather than simply rotate freely or fall apart. Oh, that set screw really does make a difference as well, this shower extension arm will not loosen over time until one day water sprays from the shower nut or something, once this project is done according to manufacturer specifications, it will stay until one loosens that set screw. Here, with a conventional bathtub, the G-Promise Shower Extension Arm! reaches the middle of the bathtub easily, however, if you are 6' 5", you might have to stand closer to the faucet; at the very least, you will not be getting a blast of water directly to your face! The G-Promise Shower Extension Arm! also works well to lower a handheld shower to a reasonable height from the floor, however, I am not trading that for my directly overhead shower! Imagine, lowering the handheld shower by two feet! I really did not like the result in terms of the experience, however, the hardware is excellent beyond first class. In the end, all I can say is that no one that owns a G-Promise Shower Extension Arm, when it comes to possibilities, the sky's the limit.
