I use these for HEMA (historical fencing). They are suitable for all the weapons we use including longsword. They are very light and comfortable. I have worn these all day and not even noticed them. They have taken some good shots with no damage to them or me.

It is important to note that these shin guards come in various sizes which relate to your height, but the website does not give information other than s, m, l etc. Amazon it would be helpful if you did as it would prevent problems later.The shin guard packet therefore says:XL Height 200cm - 220cmL Height 180cm - 200cmM Height 160cm - 180cmS Height 140cm - 160cmXS Height 120cm - 140cmXXS Height 100cm - 120cm

Son loves them- he's 12 and 5ft 7 and they couldn't be any bigger(large size) ... Come up to the knee, so still growing room there.

My son is 5ft 6 and the large fits perfectly. Grays G600 hockey shin Guards at £14.69 are a good buy.
