It's such a simple little change, to rotate the grooving on the tip, but it works so well for gripping a stripped out screw—I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. The rest of the tool is quality too: It's a locking slip joint, and the handles are slim and strong. Overall a good design, well executed. Five starss

These are really nice and well made pliers. The fit and finish is perfect. The grips are good and it feels good in your hand. The teeth really grip what you are trying to hold on to and have a nice bite. The jaws come together perfectly and the slip joint is nice and tight with no slop or play.

These are now the best pliers I own. I have used many over the years and they are always less than ideal - they typically come with flat jaws and only two settings for jaw size adjustment. And often despite a firm grip they either slip or pinch my fingers or both. These pliers are so much better designed, a couple of areas in particular. 1 - The jaw adjustment can be set anywhere between the smallest and largest setting, and that is a nice feature. I included 2 photos showing the size of the jaw open and closed, so you can see the amount of flexibility there. 2 - The tooth design on the front and sides is really effective and gets a solid grip - this is a really great improvement over the traditional pliers. 3 - The length of the tool is good - long enough to get some leverage and also thin enough to get into smaller spaces. Very happy with these and my old pliers are going in the trash!

These are a handy little set of pliers to add to your toolbox - and are a unique design that will likely come in handy for those special situations where you really need to get a bite on the end of a screw or bolt head. I'm happy to have them, and the slip joint design makes it easy to adapt to multiple situations.

These adjustable pliers work great. They're nearly identical to the Twin Grips, with the same excellent jaw angles, sharp, backwards raked teeth, and an adjustable width with a button lock. Aside from the grips, these ones from GREBSTK work exactly the same. I really like how versatile they are. They can open up to 2.5 inches and can comfortably grip stuff up to around 1.5 inches. Plus, they have the notch at the tip of the jaws for grabbing onto a stripped screw. Here, the teeth are turned vertical to better latch onto a screw. Also, because they have such a long, slender profile, they can reach deep into spots where other tools can't get to.

I recently ordered this pair of 8-inch slip joint pliers for my "Go Box," which contains essential tools for home and auto repairs. I aim to have a well-curated set of tools readily available for various situations. Two features drew my attention to this particular product.Firstly, the push-button adjustment is quite convenient, allowing for easy manipulation of the jaw width and securely locking into place until the button is pressed again.Additionally, the unique jaw design provides a firm grip and minimizes the risk of slippage.Overall, my experience with these locking pliers has been very positive. I have found them particularly effective for grasping the remnants of old screws, making removal significantly easier. For those who regularly undertake home and auto repairs, I believe that adding a pair of these pliers to your toolkit would be a valuable investment.

These are not general-purpose pliers. Their jaws are shaped to grip nuts, and especially for cases where the flats have been damaged so that a regular wrench isn't easily able to fit on. Not only does the side jaw have a profile oriented to gripping on rounded surfaces, but the tip also has that so that you can grip something that doesn't have enough room to maneuver from the side. The grip is also designed so that you can precisely adjust the width and still have the handles close enough together that you can apply a strong grip. The index positions are much more precise than a normal channel-lock design. If you are looking for general purpose pliers, these are probably not the ones you want, but if you need to grip damaged heads, these are huge improvement over standard pliers.
