i had another grill basket that i never used because the handle did not come off and it would catch on fire. This handle easily clips on and off so while it sits in the heat you aren't creating a hot handle. My partner complained that hit did not have as much control as with skewers. I pointed out we both hated putting things on skewers so this is our solution. Great way to corral a lot of vegies.

I got this Peenoz grill basket primarily as a low-effort way to make shrimp on the barbecue instead of taking the time to skewer the shrimp. I’ve tried using a perforated grill pan for shrimp, but the air-space to metal ratio is too high and so the shrimp don’t taste as good because they’re partially getting fried on the metal. This basket has a very high air-space to metal ratio so it solves that problem and allows for more delicious grilled-food. The basket is just barely big enough to accommodate 2-pounds of (16-20/lb count) shrimp in a single layer if I pack them carefully. (That’s perfect for my family.) The lid easily latches open & shut. The handle attached/detaches easily. Although there is some space between the top and bottom of the grill-basket, it is possible to quickly flip the basket without jumbling the shrimp.The basket is made of high-quality stainless steel. (I say that because it is not attracted to a magnet. Low-quality stainless steel is attracted to magnets.)The basket comes with some skewers, a brush, and a cover, all of which are nice-- especially the cover so that it can be stored cleanly.Cleanup depends on how hard you grill, what you grill, and how shiny-clean you want to keep the basket. For easy stuff like vegetables coated in oil, cleanup is pretty easy. For tougher stuff like buttered-coated shrimp on the barbie, you’ll probably want to give it a scrub. But the nice thing is that you can put it in the dishwasher to sanitize it.This is a good grill basket at a reasonable price. No complaints. So, I’m giving it 5-stars.

I mainly got this to cook fish and tried it out this week. It was easy to load and installing and removing the handle to flip the basket was a breeze. Nothing fell apart on the grill which often happens w/o a basket, and it didn't affect cooking time. The only negative was opening the basket to remove the dinner was a bit challenging because the basket was too hot to handle with hands. I ended up using my tongs to depress the side pins which allows for opening the basket. The marinade used did leave some residue on the basket. I tried just putting it in the dishwasher, but it actually needed some scrubbing to clean it up after it came out. I think if the latching pins were a bit longer it would have been easier to open when hot. Otherwise, I was very pleased with the product.

Not a bad grilling basket but I wouldn't call it heavy duty. The handle is a little short and removing it if you just want to put the basket on without the handle will work, but then putting the handle on can get warm. The basket has skewers but they are small and flimsy so not sure how long they will hold up, also a little plastic sauce brush. I do like the fact that it comes with a bag to keep it all together by the bbque. Not a bad product and not a bad price but again not heavy duty or high quality.
