What do you do when a U.S. made S&K 1 1/4" wrench is too thick (and possibly a foot longer than necessary) to fit onto the nut that is behind a mounted faceplate on an old Rockwell wood lathe? That is where this set of Grip wrenches are brought out of their storage drawer. The 9/16" wrench has also been useful on occasional with a good quality 9/16" wrench to lock two 3/8" nuts together on threaded rods.The wrenches are clearly manufactured to achieve a low price point. The edges of the wrenches are not as refined as the edges of good quality wrenches, so one would not want to use these wrenches repeatedly through the day, every day. The strength of the steel is also likely much less than that of a mid or high-end wrench. These wrenches also lack a boxed end, which might be required in some use cases. As the Amazon description mentions, these wrenches are made in China.In short, they work, but they are short to limit the amount of torque that may be applied to them so that they do not end up as pretzels (they are also likely short as a cost cutting approach).

I brought this set of wrenches to adjust the motor mounts on my boat, in order to perform a drive shaft alignment. These wrenches performed beyond expectations by fitting an extremely narrow space and providing great maneuverability. Excellent quality.

I needed a specific size wrench for adjusting my refrigerator feet and this set fit the bill (I didn't know exactly which size I needed). It was cheap, did the job, and I've already found a few more uses for them since then. They may not be durable long-term, but for my use they're perfect. They polished them up nicely so there are no rough edges and the sizes are clearly marked on each end of the wrench.

I bought these to replace the collett wrenches for an old Craftsmen router. This set has exactly the sizes I need and the thinner profile allows them to fit into the tight space better than a standard open-end wrench. Each wrench has a different size on each end and luckily the 2 sizes I needed weren't on the same wrench. I haven't used them much so I can't speak to the durability. I wouldn't buy these as a primary set of wrenches because the thin profile would make them hard on your hands. I wish they were a little longer but otherwise they work perfect for my specific need.

These wrenches have bailed me out of so many sticky situations in a short amount of time. I basically break these wrenches out for those times I have a blown hydraulic hose and the hose I'm chasing goes to a pump or something surrounded by other hoses. Of course the hose I need to take off is probably in the middle of that mess! That usual leads me to taking off 2 or 3 other lines I'm not even replacing. It's just so I can get access to the hose I need to take off. Well that's where these ultra thin wrenches come in and save the day! They're so skinny I can usually go in at an angle and get on the fitting I need. Since they're so cheap I even bought a second sae set and I shaved them down even smaller for those really tight areas. They are surprisingly strong too!! I haven't bent one yet! Let me make this clear to hairy homeowner or whoever... don't buy this set to make it your main set of wrenches. These are specialty wrenches for certain tight clearance situations. I also heard other reviewers complain that these wrenches are cut a little bigger than their actual size. I can tell you if they are it's not enough difference for me to notice one bit. So if you're in my field of work or something similar I can't recommend these grip wrenches enough! A++

If you ever need skinny tools to get in those narrow spots this is definitely the wrench set for it. I bought these to install a bunch of caster wheels and they worked great. They are super thin yet are very durable and the edges are nicely ground and polished so they won't hurt your hand when you use them. Also including a storage pouch to keep them in is a nice touch and very handy to make sure you don't misplace one somewhere. For the price these are currently set at it would be foolish to pass them up.
