These had grittier-than-usual machine oil on them when they arrived , but they weren't actually rusted. Works well with metric bits from 1.5-4mm in diameter, can't speak to anything else. The second knurled part lets you lock them down with two pairs of pliers.

The Pin Vices will not tighten enough to hold a drill bit when drilling plastic parts. It was almost impossible to drill small holes in PLA plastic. Additionally, the Pin Vise parts were drenched in oil. Probably from the machining process.I'd avoid these. Totally Useless. I'd only recommend them as a Christmas Gift to someone you dislike.

Worked for opening up the fuel jet on a snowblower carburetor. Used these with a set of mini drill bits to open up the fuel jet on a snow blower carburetor. They were quite difficult to get the bit in straight, but they held the bits nicely once tightened, and worked as I needed them to.

Greasy and tiny pin vise set.Do exactly as they say and would buy again if needed.
