  • Grease fittings are heat treated to SAE J534 specification with hardness on greasing end to a minimum of 83 on Rockwell 15N scale with a case depth of 0.005” (0.13 mm) to 0.009” (0.23 mm).
  • Steel fittings are plated in yellow zinc with a plating thickness of 0.0002” (5 microns) confirming to SAE J534 specification & have a guaranteed salt spray life of over 75 hours to red rust. Fittings can be custom manufactured in white zinc & also be made with trivalent passivation.

A very nice product. I had rebuilt the front suspension on a classic car, and found that the fittings supplied by the parts suppliers (ball joints, tie rod ends, etc) were all short, stubby fittings. On the car, those fittings were not accessible with a grease gun...short of removing the wheel tire combination. I replaced all of them with these and found I was able to maneuver them into a convenient position for access. I especially appreciated how well the threads gripped. No concern about these working loose.
