Restaurant Guest Checks are one of those great little solutions to everyday problems that we see all the time—at least, when we can afford to eat at a sit-down place—but never give much thought to. At least, I never did. I was only ever a busboy, not a waiter, so I've never needed to give them that much attention.Nonetheless, the elegance of the system is striking. Although many places print their receipts automatically nowadays, the analog simplicity of the Guest Check is hard to beat. The process of writing down the guests's orders plays out on the front, on a pale green background. The "Tax" and "Total" lines are there to be filled, but not until the end of the meal. On the back, in purple ink on a white background we have a workspace for tallying up the items and costs, and transferring it to the other side. The instruction is right there, on the Total line: "Transfer to Front".The top of the check, in white, has boxes for Date, Table, Guests, Server, and Serial #. On the bottom, under a lightly perforated line, a white stub repeats this information, except that Table has been swapped for Amount. I had never considered the usefulness of the serial number until I saw these pads, but an accountant who needed to verify the expenses of their traveling salespeople would be able to match the stub to the ticket with ease, to see if they did, indeed, spend $1,200.00 on champagne. The physical quality of the pads is perfectly suited for the task. I don't know what weight of paper they used, but each slip is just thick enough, and has just a slight tooth, to work well with felt-tip or ballpoint. The printing is perfectly aligned so the perforation is precisely where it needs to be, and the checks are easy to tear off. I suspect they are liquid-resistant—that is, they will hold the ink in place even when soup or soda or water splashes on them—but I haven't tested that.I'll not be using these in any official capacity. I will admire them for the clever inventions that they are, and probably make small shopping or to-do lists out of them. Nonetheless, anyone who does run a small eating place, especially those who might want to evoke a retro feel, could do much worse than order a package of these tiny storytellers.

These are exactly what I was looking for, however I only received two booklets when it finally came around!Hoping the seller sees this and is able to fulfill the rest of my purchase 😅Update; seller reached out and offered a full refund and informed me the shipping process will be changing.Again the quality of the product is just what I was looking for, it just seems like a problem on the shipping end

We got our son the green lifestyle server book which you could see in the photo I've uploaded. This server book fits perfectly in it and he says that it's better than the blank ones that he had with no lines on them. Said this really helps him keep track of seat positions. They booklets are very good quality. You're looking for a good server book to put these in then just type in green lifestyle server book. Definitely recommend both!
