Wired it up into the guitar, noticed that the neck pickup position was also getting signal from the bridge pickup. In other words the middle and neck positions were essentially the same, while the bridge position worked as intended.

... you realize the Switchcraft brand switch you got months ago IS the right size, you just didn't bother test fitting because it didn't look like the threads would fit through the body hole. Then you install the Switchcraft. Sure, it would have taken 5 seconds to check the first one before deciding it wouldnt work, but I'm smart. I'm no need test fit. I am guitar.

Excellent switch. Not a cheap flimsy switch. This switch is stout and crisp when switching. I have started using this toggle switch for all of my guitar builds.

This switch makes ALL other switches you've ever used feel like junk. It's very sturdy and it snaps into place tight. No play. Easy to install. Perfect!

This is the exact switch as the original; I can't say Ibanez used the exact same source 15 years ago, but there is no discernable difference between this & the original switch Ibanez used for my guitar (except the knob is snapped off my original...same knob though!).The switch itself looks great! Truth be told, I ordered my 2007 Ibanez Arondite AD120–X Series brand new during my 3rd yr of University & when it arrived, the switch had snapped in transit. And at University, I always found myself too busy to just stop & fix the switch; &, eventually, guitar itself had to give way to the demands of graduate school... So, long story short, I've needed to repair the switch for nearly 15yrs!I've had my share of downtime over the last ~18mo; so, out came the guitar eventually, & after a few months of looking at its broken switch, I searched for a replacement on Amazon, found this, ordered it, & had it installed shortly after it arrived a few days later.Nearly 15 years & my guitar is finally whole! Now, in terms of installation, it's pretty straightforward...(?) You will need to solder it in of course, so...that isn't always easy & I wouldn't recommend trying to learn to solder with your guitar. There are cheap kits though that you can learn to solder pretty fast with...(?) I'd recommend one of those first. So, there isn't a huge barrier to installation imho.As for its value for the money? I've waited 15 years for a switch! So, I probably would've paid double. Otherwise, it's a solid switch with some heft & it looks good installed. I'd say it is indeed a good value for the money (approx. ~$10).And, last but not least, what about the sturdiness of the switch?! Like I said, the switch feels solid, it has some heft to it, & it moves into position just fine. I'd say it's a sturdy switch; however, I know of one that's not discernable from this one that snapped in transit 15 yrs ago. I don't plan on shipping my guitar to myself for any reason, & I have no plans to turn my guitar into a bludgeon any time soon. So, I think it is perfectly sturdy for normal use. If it's mounted on a guitar & you're shipping it some distance, just take extra care to prevent it from taking a hit.So, it's a 3-way toggle switch when it comes down to it! Do I recommend this 3-way toggle switch...? ...Of course I do! I mean, ...15yrs! ...I said I would've probably paid double! But, I suppose, what about as a general 3-way toggle switch – forget the guitar? In that case: yes, I believe it would work just fine indeed.

This actually made me sick to my stomach. I’m 95% done with a rewire of a guitar and I went to solder in the bridge pickup barely apply any heat to the actual pole itself and it melted. Absolutely disappointed and dissatisfied.
