This stand is all plastic. I could not put my bass guitar on it without it falling down. It will hold my acoustic guitar ok. It will not hold any weight and remain stable.

I was a bit skeptic about this guitar holder but in spite of its small size and weight it gets the job done and it’s so easy to carry around!

The guitar stand is foldable and made out of thick polymer material so though it is light in weight, its load capacity is pretty good. It is shaped in an A structure so it can support various guitar models from acoustics to electric. Measuring at 12 by 4 inches when folded down, it can be taken on the go too making it perfect for travel. To open and close, it is super easy as you just lift up the top part before opening its width and it is good to use. There are different settings you can open the stand to accommodate different width sizes but it is only stable in certain angles and wobbly in others. Overall, the stand is easy to use and provides a somewhat stable base for your guitar but its ability to take on the go make it easy to bring along more as an optional piece rather than necessary.

First the positives: compact, foldable design. When not in use, this folds up into a very compact shape that can be stored or transported easily. It has a pad on the contact point where the guitar leans back to prevent scratching.Negatives: This stand will work for narrow body/electric guitars in addition to full body acoustic guitars. But if you have a size in between (like the Martin OOCXAE) this stand will not hold the guitar upright. That guitar is too wide for the first position and too narrow for the second position. Study the pictures of the stand and you can easily see what I am talking about.
