Very handsome guitar wall holder. Made of actual real wood with nice grain. The top shelf is very convenient - I have a tuner and some guitar polish on the top shelf. The front of the shelf has a little built-in slot for holding pics. Assembly was quite easy. Why the lost star? First, the mounting hardware was the wrong size. The instructions called for drilling 1/4” holes for the anchors (they provide two types, one for drywall and one for concrete). But the provided anchors were too wide to be hammered into the 1/4” hole. I wound up using my own for 1/4” holes. Not a big deal as I had some at home, but it would have been a little frustrating if I’d had to run to the hardware store. The guitar holder itself has the self-locking mechanism which is much appreciated as I live in earthquake country in California. This will keep my guitar from falling off during a temblor. The hanger works fine for Strats, Gibsons, and most other guitars. The hanger doesn’t swivel, so a Telecaster headstock doesn’t fit as firmly. You can unscrew the hanger part one full turn and it will then swivel to accommodate a Tele, but the hanger won’t be as firmly attached to the wood backing. Also, the clearance is a little tight with a longer 12 String headstock, but it worked with mine (see pic). The ad claims that the hanger is covered in silicon. Many people contend that silicon will interact negatively with nitrocellulose finished instruments. I’m not sure if this is really silicon or whether it can react with nitro, but I ordered some moleskin to cover the areas where the guitar neck comes in contact with the neck, just to be safe. All in all, I find the shelf to be a great idea and an improvement on the typical wall mount. Just don’t mount it so high that you have trouble reaching the top of the shelf!

This is relatively an easy install. Depending on the weight of the guitar it may serve better to find a wall stud. All hardware is included. When you place the guitar neck into it, it locks automatically.

This product really caught my eye, especially because it comes with a pick storage—such a genius feature! I absolutely love it. The installation was incredibly easy, and the product is built to last.

This hanging guitar stand came as described, love the pick holder as well, works great , love the self , looks great, good size for my purpose , the shelf is large enough for guitar tuners , head phones etc , the wood is smooth and beautiful, easy to use and install , the hook that holds the guitar is sturdy. I’m not using for a music room or anything just using it to hold my dad’s guitar he made before he passed .. perfect for decoration use.

This guitar wall mount does an excellent job holding my precious guitar. Of course, when you're into music, you spend a pretty penny on your instruments, so it's important that whatever stands you purchase to hold your instruments are sturdy. This guitar wall mount does just that - it holds my guitar in place on my wall, sturdy with no flimsiness. I really appreciate the durability this wall mount has and how great it stays in place on my wall.

Very cool mount for my acoustic guitar! I love the shelf and pick slot addition vs one without, I am able to clip a capo on it, put my guitar strap out of the way, and hold a lot of picks! The auto lock is pretty neat, works well. I do wish that it wasn't as bulky as it is, being black it does kind of stick out more than I would like on my wooden walls. Kind of wish they had a brown option or that the actual mechanism that holds the guitar was wooden as well. I still would buy again though! I am happy with it overall.

This is a very attractive guitar hanger, and it seems quite practical, too. However, an average guitar will hang down about 32 inches from the hanger. The hanger then goes up another ten inches or so. If the shelf is at eye level, the bottom of the guitar will be no more than 2 feet of the ground--and probably closer than that. Thus, you can't hang this above a chair or table of any furniture, and it will have to be in a location where no one will brush against it in passing. So it seems very impractical to me (a working musician who has a number of guitars hanging up around my studio for easy access.Nevertheless, I like the appearance and the concept of it. But I wouldn't give it to anyone as a gift, and I wouldn't recommend it to most people. Perhaps YOU have a spot for it, in which case, you will love it.

Was pleasantly surprised to open this up and see the quality of wood they used on this, esp. the overhead shelf.Only wish they'd used the same on the actual hanger part that's more visible.Put together, functions alright, flippers go down/lock independently of each other based on load.Shelf is a nice add-on, and the front is slotted to hold favorite picks at the ready.Waiting on a recent buy so I can decide exactly where this hanger will call home.. and may have to update w/ that beauty. As another poster noted, I really wish the actual mounting holes were placed vertically, so as to mount more securely in your avg. stud, and not wonder if your precious axe may at some point "fall" victim to gravity....Will have to test it some once up.Might just end up outdoing the old String Swing and become my favorite.. tho. High hopes.Would recommend at this juncture.
