Great alternative to hipshot tuners

Replaced bad tuners on a budget guitar with these locking tuners and they work great. They are easy to tune and are still in tune weeks later. String changes are a litttle faster as well.

Its a complete drop in for my pch2gace. A perfect fit. The tuners do flare out by a millimeter compared to the pingwells the guitar came with but it dont bother me. Its smooth and it works. I wish they were staggered though so I can get a better break angle. They stay in tune and dont slip. And yes these tuners fit 13 gauge strings pretty well. And I have 2 other sets of guyker tuners and I have one of them strung up with 9s and they also dont slip. Also, dont leave a bad review if you dont know what you're getting into. Especially guitar parts. Make sure you're measuring and matching to the diagram and looking out to see if they're the right set for your guitar. Ive seen too many people ignorant about ordering the wrong parts

I recently restored my 20+ year old Applause ae-38. The stock turners had tiny broken plastic washers. Instead of replacing the. I decided to upgrade the tuners because I liked them on my other guitars. I did a little research to make sure I got the correct style, size for the holes and installation was easy. I didn't have to drill additional holes or widen the existing tuner holes. They look similar to the stock turners. They work well but I do prefer a different ratio. These take more turns to tune however I still think it's less than the tuners my guitar came with.

These were a pleasure to install and very smooth to use. Would purchase again. The 1:21 gear ratio makes for easy tuning.

I was initially worried about the hole fitment before I bought them, but after stripping the old tuners out and slotting these in that went away.Perfect diameter for the holes already on my gibson, and the screw holes at the back were perfectly lined up.Makes string changes so much easier now and the tuning stability (which we all know on a les paul isn't the best) has been dramatically improved.Highly recommended.Update :After having them fitted to.my les Paul for nearly 6 months and 1 string change later, the gears inside the machine heads have stopped gripping. When I go to tighten the strings, they keep spinning. I may have just got a bad set. Refunded.by amazon.

I'm extremely fussy about my instruments (and most things). I've had a fair number of quality electric guitars and basses along with some nice acoustics. I've also had a fair amount of experience with Schaller and Sperzel tuners. The aforementioned, specifically the Sperzels, are my favorites. I think they are noticeably better in terms of feel and quality, but practically, there's not a huge difference. If I had infinite capital, I'd have Sperzels on everything. I'm a fan of Schaller too, I love all the Schaller hardware, but it pains me to admit that these are really pretty much as good. They are also better in my experience based on more limited contact with some of the other big name brand tuners. I have these on a couple expensive factory instruments and a couple of my own builds (and no I don't mean necks and bodies I bought off the internet, I mean actual builds from scratch). My only beef is I don't like the look of the logos on the back of the tuners, but that's me just being stupid fussy. These are a great buy, highly recommended if budget is deterring you from going to locking tuners. If cost is no object and you want the best: Sperzels. If you couldn't a / b them next to each other, you wouldn't ever find a thing to complain about with these.

I waited three weeks to get these as an upgrade for a budget Les Paul copy (we're talking $189 brand new. As cheap as you can get). Had high hopes as they felt pretty smooth out of the box, and they fit perfectly. They DO NOT HOLD strings in tune. Almost a full half step flat after just a couple bends. Repeatedly. B and high E especially. The locking screws just will not grab. And yes, the strings were stretched out. Also on one of them the bushing with the nut would not tighten fully. Kept slipping loose. The stock tuners on the ultra budget are 100% better. Returned and ordered Hip Shot. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY!!BTW, shout out to Leo Jaymes guitars. Excellent quality at that price point.

I WAS UPGRADING FIREFLY 338 AND LP STYLE GUITARS I ENCOUNTERED QUALITY ISSUES WITH A FEW TUNER MACHINES, EASILYFIXED. I FOUND THE STRING HOLES NEED DEBURRING OF SHARP EDGES THAT WILL CAUSE THINNER STRING BREAKAGE ALSO THE TIP OF SOME LOCKING SCREWS, ( PART THAT PUSHES AGAINST STRING ) NEEDED BURRS FILED OR SANDED SMOOTH AND IT WOULD BE WISE TO CLEAN THREADS OF ANY LEFT OVER THREADING DEBRIS WITH WIRE OR STIFF BRUSH THAN LIGHTLY OIL OR GREASE GEARS & THREADS. THE TUNERS HAVE HELD TUNE AND PERFORMED AS WELL AS GOTOH TUNERS I HAVE AT TWICE THE PRICE WITH A LITTLE WORK. THIS IS WHY U PAY LESS FOR GUYKER TUNERS.

I am familiar with these tuning machines and have seen them in action on a number of guitars. Great for the price point and they get the job done as long as you take the time to sanity check your setup during and right after installation.Built my dream guitar last month, but was not pleased with the tuners. Had to buy 2 sets of these, since my guitar is a 4R + 3L (don't mind the extras, will pick the best from each set).Amazon said Prime with delivery in a couple days when I placed the order. It has been WEEKS! Tracking the order shows massive delays in China. Selecting the "Buy Again" option shows me they can be here in 2 days! Confusing and frustrating...Delaying my dream build over tuning machines...Update: they finally arrived. So, 3 of the machine heads would not thread with the stabilizing nut. 1 of the locking machine posts was too short to actually catch and lock the string. The washers provided had inconsistent finish (some were glossy while others were flat).Overall, glad I had extras. The ones that did meet specification work flawlessly and are comparable to higher end locking tuners. My only issue, as stated above, is inconsistent quality control.
