This thing is sick for kayaks! It’s sturdy, looks nice, and pretty easy to install. Although my husband took a minute but only because he has never done it before. After loading the kayak a couple times, it’s super easy to load up with two people.

I purchased a new Crosstrek and opted to search for a roof rack system on my own rather than purchasing the exorbitantly priced one from the dealer. I read through many reviews and finally settled on these. The install is simple and the racks are solid. I did not have any issues regarding missing parts nor damaged/scratched/rusted racks. The only cause for lacking a full 5 star are the straps included are not strong or safe enough for hauling anything. DO NOT USE THE STRAPS PROVIDED. I opted to purchase a proper set of ratchet straps from Husky. Also, the racks are a tad narrow for my kayaks but when strapped down tightly they settle well into their cradle. I traveled on highways and racks held just fine.

AWESOME KAYAK RACKS! This is a great deal they are well built and easy to put together you don’t need to drill new holes. The rubber will need to be manipulated to get the bolts in as you would expect. Now for any one afraid of it falling off on a long trip all you need to do is put the extra locking nuts that come with it on instead of the plastic handle ones that come off and on easily. I highly recommend these racks for the price and how well they are made! Sturdy & durable! We definitely recommend these!!! Happy kayaking!!!
