Quality is equal to the price. I wouldn't use it on stage or on the road as I can for see things stripping out or breaking. It's not quite the quality of one of the big name brand professional stands but it is good for a beginner, practice kit or just a jam kit

This is a basic snare stand that's about the same quality as others at this price point. Easy to setup and works well so far...

I’ve never used a drum stand before, so my comments and observations are limited to how this drum stand met my needs. I have a 12 inch wide hand drum/ (steel tongue drum) and I wanted something that would allow me to elevate the drum above floor level and to additional display the drum top to me at an angle so that I could easily see the entire surface of the drum. This drum stand totally met my needs. The stand is heavy in a good solid way. The stand will not tip over. The entire drum stand unloaded can collapse in on itself to a degree. To set up the stand you pull out the three feet and lock it in place with a large wing screw. The screws tighten down and untighten very smoothly. The vertical shaft that controls the height of the drum stand consists of a lower tube connected to the three feet, and a upper shaft that rises up and down inside the lower piece. This allows for a good degree of vertical movement considering that any drum or instrument placed in this stand would be played from a sitting position. The top of the stand has 3 evenly spaced claws with rubber gripes. These ‘claws’ grab around your drum or instrument. The ‘claws’ grab on my tightening the thick black knob on the bottom. This knob is very easy to work. The levelness of the top surface of the stand, where your instrument is inserted can be tilted forward and back and when you have it in the position you want, you tighten the upper wing nut screw. I took me less than a minute to remove, my hand drum and to insert in its place a drum practice pad. This pad is much thinner than the steel tongue drum, but the design of the grips on the stand make it grasp onto either device really well. I can’t say how this drum stand compares to other drum stands, but for my needs to hold a pan drum, it totally meets my needs.

If you are going to tour with your kit I would recommend getting a name brand stand, however if you are going to leave your kit in one place this stand is a good buy.

It’s not of the quality of my drum set snare stand. But, it works as an inexpensive practice pad holder. It is functional.
