ASTM F2100 standards call for mask packaging to be clearly labeled with the level of protection at one of three levels: 1, 2, or 3. This standard reinforces the importance of labeling to identify protection levels, based on fluid resistance, particulate filtration, and breathability. ASTM F2100 is recognized by the FDA as the consensus standard for medical face masks.
The HALYARD• ASTM Level 3 mask is constructed to meet ASTM F2100 requirements. F2100 outlines the minimum performance levels for measurements of breathability, fluid resistance, particle filtration, and flammability. In a healthcare setting, ASTM Level 3 masks are for use during patient care and procedures where the risk of exposure to blood and/ or other bodily fluids is high.

It is a thick mask and comfortable. It shipped well to my home. These are the only masks that don’t break my skin out.
