Got this for my leopard gecko, Scooby. He had a rock cave already, but this summer has been EXCRUCIATINGLY hot.. (even for him.) His tank was getting wayyy too hot, & so was his hide (bc the rock & his grass basically hold heat like crazy! So it was cooking him in there.) He was spending all day out on his cool side, which normally he slept all day and was up all night. so I got a lower watt bulb.. and bought this hide/hut. First 5 minutes it was in his tank... he went right in, and now he spends all his time in this... except when he needs to shed, then he goes in his other hut.Now, this came with fake vines too (havent used yet). & it came w/ the lil mini water dish for the top of the hut.. which is such a GREAT idea. My Scooby loves that. He comes out and cools down in the water every now and again then goes back inside his hut. (There's a black plastic liner & then the lil mini pool is made of actual like terracotta material.)Overall.. this hut is a GREAT deal, especially for its price. It's simple, great size for my leopard gecko.. and the lil pool on top is just the perfect add on. Plus the decorations thrown in too.... come on, you can't get a better deal!

The only reasons I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the lack of packaging as it came in a zip lock bag with no protection for the ceramic part and zero instructions as to the different ways it can be set up. But the up side is that I found people on Facebook who helped me and the hide is large and my leopard gecko loves it.

My leopard gecko has not really liked any other moist enclosure. He LOVES this one. The terra-cotta tray is genius. He ran right in he seems so happy. Buy it. It’s super easy, no mess no hassle.

When you look at the photos it looks big however, when you get it? it is small and not very big for my leopard gecko. No instructions either. If it was about 2 inches longer it would be ideal

When receiving I thought it would be too small. He loves it and fits happily inside. While he was starting to shed he stayed in it and his shedding went so much more smoothly.

I'm not sure how the hide does as far as creating a humid place for my leapord gecko but she likes going in there especially when she needs a cooler humid place for shedding. Everytime she gets that dusty coloring to her she ends up going in there and that's where I find her most of the time during that period. She loves it and if she is happy then so am I.
