I bought this when I had the need to install crimped on lugs on some big battery cables on my boat.It was not something I was going to be doing a lot when my current project was finished so I did not want to invest in an expensive device that would also be a lot larger and harder to store.This device worked great. I installed about 20 big crimp on connectors for 02/00 battery cables on my boat and all turned out well.It took me one try to work up the nerve to pound hard enough on it but I was able to make excellent crimps using my carpenter's hammer.Now its residing in my tool box where it takes up very little space. I may never need it again but maybe Ill run into a friend who needs to make a few crimps on battery cable terminals.
