Nice quality metal, came with a bit of an edge on it and was super easy to perfect to a razor sharp paper thin edge to where now the thought of making a mistake with it is terrifying! Good attention to detail. Overall impressive, especially considering the modest price for good handmade craftsmanship. Looks very nice! Functions very nice! My neighbors eyes about popped out of his head when he felt the sharpness of the blade after I perfected it. Hahaha! He was very grateful to have received it as a gift.

I made the mistake of giving one of theses swords away as a birthday gift. Once my other son's saw it. They made it clear that's what they all wanted for there birthdays.

This Katana sword with full tang looks awesome. I have 14 swords and this one really stands out. The red and white really looks great. It feels and looks incredibly well made. You won’t be sorry buying this if your a sword collector.

1st sword I’ve ever purchased and i wasn’t expecting much for the price, I was wrong! Great build quality, doesn’t feel cheap and it’s really sharp and actually holds an edge. This sword is super cool!

Purchasing a Japanese sword, a bonfide, produced under historical standards, is very expensive... The whole knife nerd movement become somewhat laughable when considering Japanese sword production, which has been around a long time. And despite what many think, if I grab the steel backsprings off my F-150 the steel is probably technically more pure, better quality than what was available to even the Great swordsmiths in ancient Japan.Which is to say, it's always been about the process, not only the blade but the fittings, all of whom were produced by different specialists in ancient Japan, the different temperatures needed to make the blade softer where it needs to cut and harder where it needs resistance, Etc.This sword, and many well produced swords produced en masse, with Finishing Touches, will never be a true katana. However, not only is this a functional weapon, as much as a sword can be considered such these days, but there are also nice flourishes that show good quality. For example the Scabbard is well manufactured, with the collar grabbing the blade a little tight, but still fitted. The blade is sharp, and the weight of the weapon is sound. The fittings are a bit cheap looking, with the sword guard, being an exception to this rule. If sword manufacturers would realize Beauty in simplicity, you could make a wonderful sword without all the Embellishments that detract from this innate simplicity of design .This is an excellent sword for the price. Understand that it is a real sword with some real sharpness and it is not a practice weapon.

It's a nice blade and has good weight to it but the sheath was damaged most likely due to careless Amazon employees, again. Anyone who mishandles packages should either be fired or have the full price of the package taken out of their paychecks.
