It's simple, easy to hang up and my parakeets love it. It is a little bigger than I thought it would be, which is a good thing. Both parakeets can sit and look in the mirror at the same time, which is great since one of them is kind of a jerk and doesn't like to share. Definitely worth the $$.

As soon as we put this in our conures cage she immediately climbed onto it. It is one of her favorite toys even above another mirror toy we bought her first.

You probably lost intrest in the bird. So give it a mirror to stare at its own image. The bird can reflect on it's short life with clipped wings, knowing it was born to fly, but will never experience it. It knows it's a disposable pet, and will some day starve to death from lack of food and affection. Buy the mirror now, give your bird a little love. Pray you are not reincarnated as a PetSmart parakeet.

Cute, but the hooks are small, and it's not glued in very well, making it wobbly.

The wood is fine, the hooks are on good enough. The mirror is chrome mirror spray on. The reflection is poor.

I had 2 parakeets and one died a few weeks ago. The other one who was her best friend for 3+ years was shook up and sad at seeing the other die and being alone. I don't want to get any more birds because after 20 years of raising them I am too old and ill to take on another. So I bought this mirrored perch and after examining it for a day or so the other Parakeet loves it and has a buddy once again. She stares at it and sings to it and makes her bird calls and visits the perch often! I can't tell you how happy this makes me!

When I received this item, I immediately placed it in my parakeet's "Cheeks" cage. He is very inquisitive and stood next to my hands and watched intensely while I decided where to place this mirror and placed it inside his cage. Once inserted, he IMMEDIATELY jumped on the perch and played and chatted with the bird in the mirror! lol He played with this mirror for 2 hours before he finally jumped off.... then continued to jump back on and off all evening. Apparently I made an excellent choice for a new toy for "Cheeks". HE LOVES THIS MIRROR......
