Harbor’s Cat Training Aid does not scare or traumatize your cat. The cat deterrent spray only encourages the cat to stay away through a combination of natural scents your cat’s dislikes.

Instructions
- Make sure your cat is watching you spray the area you want to protect
- Shake the bottle
- Apply 3-4 pumps minimum each application
- Apply 3 times per day for the first week and then apply as needed
Harbor's works best on porous surfaces. Before applying, test the surface to be treated for colorfastness and staining in a hidden area.
For best results, apply 3 times per day for 7 days and then as needed. If you apply the repellent/trainer only once or twice and expect immediate and conclusive results, you may be disappointed. Also, some materials take several applications to build up enough scent to deter cats (non-porous surfaces can take longer).
How it Works
Harbor’s Cat Training Aid trains the cat to stay away from the object or area sprayed. There is a learning process. The cat will visit the spot where the repellent was applied, discover that the area is unpleasant, and leave. The cat may take several visits to learn that it does not like the area.

It did not work followed instructions to the letter but the cat had peed yet again on the chair cover, I’ve tried several deterrent sprays etc none have worked.

However it's oily and is making an oily mark....it has to be replayed everyother day to work...so oily mark or cat scratches??

This obviously did not work as the photo shows. It is a pain to use…instructions say 3 pumps to area 3X dailyX 7 days. I needed to protect a shaggy area rug 8X6. I sprayed it using many more than 3 pumps per application to cover the rug. But today I found cat poop on it again!Wish I had my money back. Steer clear of this product.

This is the 2nd bottle of Harbor's Cat Repellent we've tried. First, we ordered the orange citrus scent and it seemed to be pretty effective, and smelled good. This time around, we ordered the eucalyptus scent and, while it smells good, it hasn't been effective at all. There's a noticeable difference in effectiveness between this scent and orange.

It works effectively. Was only after several weeks of not reapplying that one of two cats got up the gumption to curl up in my leather desk chair. Even then, never a scratch or a nick of the leather by the cats. Reapplied the potion and no cats in my desk chair again. All that and the basic smell is not bad to the humans in the house. Actually a pleasant, pungent smell for a moment or two then pretty much nothing. Highly recommend and will buy again.
